      Common sense calls...
      Emblems on 1.8 Hardtop: Civic & 1.8 i-Vtec (2 only)
Emblems on 1.8 Oriel: Above 2 and a 3rd Oriel
Emblems on Turbo: Civic & Turbo (2 Only)

The VTi (as on 8th & 9th being useless parallel to 1.8 i-Vtec) is a big NO & the CVT or Auto or whatever transmission badge is also a big NO considering its a standard with no manual being present. A car with standard automatic transmission having a badge is like every car in the world having a badge "CAR" at the back. Please Atlas dont be that stupid and learn something from JDMs.
It would rather be more ideal to follow Honda Thailand and instead have badges such as EL, EX and Turbo. Even the Oriel should go away. Wish the Turbo is also just a TR (since single T might be wierd) or a 173T badge or 1.5T like Audi

I have been doing some research on the potential problems of the new 1.5L Turbo engine which people might be facing all over the globe. During this while I came across some information regarding the new 1.5L Turbo engine and I thought that I should share it with my fellow PWers.
First, the 1.5L Turbo engine being offered in American market is non-VTEC and the 1.5L Turbo developed for the European model is VTEC but comes with 201HP as compared to the 174HP engine for the american market. I am still unable to figure out that which engine is launched in Thailand as I am sure we will get the Thai/Indonesian Spec engine.
Secondly, the CVT transmission being offered in American market is LL-CVT without any predefined gear ratios and hence no paddle shifters. Whereas the one being offered in Thai/Indonesian markets is 7-Speed CVT with Paddle Shifters. So I am sure that we will get the 7-Speed CVT since we are getting Paddle Shifters. However, the CVT for our 1.8L will be the LL-CVT which was already offered in the 9th Gen Civic since 2014 in American Market. And the reviews of that CVT are not very good. In fact, many people in the American Market are experiencing CVT response problems and RPM surging issues on the 1.5L Turbo engine on the 10th Gen Civic.
If we get 1.5L Turbo Engine with VTEC along with 7-Speed CVT, then I reckon things will be much better for us.

I think your facts are incorrect cause it has vtec all over the worl the 1.5 turbo thats the main selling point of it as there is no turbo lag on lower rpms because vtec will engage at 1500 rpm till 3500 rpm and then the turbo spools up and takes over !

please get your facts right thank you!

Please get your facts right and check again, the 1.5L Turbo engine for the American market DOES NOT HAVE VTEC and it only comes with VTC.
I urge people here to do some research before posting and wasting forum's space.

      • Drive-by-wire throttle
      • Cavity-shaped pistons and optimized skirt design minimize vibration and increase operating efficiency
      • Lightweight steel connecting rods are heat-forged in one piece for higher strength
      • New grinding process known as plateau honing further lowers friction level between pistons and cylinders

      • Mechanical high-pressure fuel pump
      • Sodium-cooled exhaust valves
      • Differences from 2.0L engine:
        • Mono scroll turbo system with electric wastegate and intercooler allows for turbo boost to be built up with relatively small throttle openings and low rpm.
        • Compression ratio of 10.6:1.
        • Smaller M12 spark plugs

There you go the same VTC in 2.0L VTEC abd VTC are the same things -_-

      2.0L Engine Specs:

      • 158 horsepower @ 6500 rpm
      • 138 lb-ft torque @ 4200 rpm
      • With 31 city mpg, 41 highway mpg, 35 combined mpg
      • Multi-Point Port injection
      • DOHC (dual overhead cam) driven by timing chain
      • Dual VTC (variable valve timing control)
      • Cylinder head with the built-in water-cooled exhaust manifold
      • Aluminum block and cylinder heads
      • Exhaust-port passages cast directly into cylinder head (eliminating separate exhaust manifold)
      • 0W-20 oil
      • Regular (US-grade) unleaded 87 gasoline
      • Differences from 1.5L turbo engine:
        • i-VTEC (intelligent Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) aids the VTC
        • Port injection with Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system to handle fuel delivery
        • Compression ratio of 10.8:1

      • 0-60: [official spec not yet released]
