No seriously. Have used all those tires during the past 13 years. Euros do the job fine in all terrains, wet and dry conditions. Rest is personal choice, liking.

I switch from Michelin XM2 to Advan DB (8th Gen civic) and they are absolutely awesome - Although I do feel like XM2 were softer compared to Advan DB

Tyre thread or Civic X thread . . .anyways i switched to Xm2 from Db and trust me Db is overall a better tyre. Given a choice, il opt for db over xm2 any day.

Db and xm2 are completely I mean completely different tyres. I have both of them.
Xm2 is rugged tyre built for heavy use and that is why I have them on Prius because it's driven in rural lahore where there is no sign of road...I took once my ride there with db and db tyre phool gaya tha and it punctured as well but xm2 didn't back down and now after continues beating of 80k km there my Prius punctured once and only the right rear tyre. This is the power of xm2.
But for city driving db is best because it's soft and comfy...xm2 is a bit hard.
Both of these are miles better then the crap euros as both of them have better grip and are noiseless.

By looking at recent pages, it seems that now fever of booking is subsiding and people are evaluating it more thoroughly , which shows thinking minds . I believe that it is thinking minds that will make a difference and force these local cartels in giving competitive pricing with latest features.
      Good work everyone

P.s. some of recent posts might be shifted to Tyre segment :p

I said you are not telling the price then what will I do if the price is 50 lak. He laughed and said that estimated price of turbo will be 28- 30 and 1.8 will be 26 to 27. Option leather seat and navigation will be add on with extra price

I needed to change tyres recently and was all set on Yoko Advan DB again (3rd set!) but couldnt find it anywhere in the required size in company import and only older, smuggled tyres were available.

I instead got 2016 manufactured Continental CC5s and im very very impressed. Its either equal too or better than Advan DBs (i think).

Dunlop and Bridgestone are ok if budget is slightly tight. Michellin was a good tyre but not good value for money, they are a NO for rough surfaces. They develop a rough texture on them if frequently driven on gravel or rough surfaces.
With all said the best experience I have with value for money and all else on Civics in the past is the name Yokohama. Nothing satisfies my driving confidence more. And even in Yokohama, Advan DB series

Well here's my experience so far then:
1st tyre Euro Stars: All potential buyers please do yourself a favor and upgrade immediately by driving your car from showroom to a decent tyre shop. Do advanced research. They tend to get hard and noisy very quickly. Yes they last up to 70k km but I'd recommend spending some dough when you're buying a brand new civic X

2nd tyre Yoko Advan Db: One of the favorite tyres around. They are silent as the name suggests, in fact the most silent tyre I have experienced. However, I wont buy them again primarily because of troublesome wet grip. My dad's car hydroplaned on motorway ending up in an accident. They have decent dry grip though.

3rd tyre Continental cc5: Pretty much my favorite tyre till I upgraded to the ones Im using right now. Not as silent as advan db but not poles behind. You will notice their sound at speeds>80. The dry & wet grip both are way better than advan. Price wise, they are direct competitor to advans. Personally, I'd rate safety higher than road noise.

4th tyre Continental csc5: One of the most advanced tyres continental has to offer which also comes as OEM in many sports cars. I'm using 215/50/17 profile and the grip along with comfort are to die for. I for sure wont be looking to any other tyre when these wear out. Superb dry grip & an even better wet performance. Thanks to conti's black chilli technology, the tyres are reactive and provide shorter braking distances. Have tested this multiple times myself. Lastly, the contiseal innovation helps seal punctures up to 5mm. Now that is a peace of mind, meaning I can conveniently drive to the next service station for puncture repair without slowing down or losing inflation. Only drawback I found during research was a not very long life cycle. However, since I have run only 1k km on them so far, I have no complaints about wear & tear.

Other options are Hp Primacy & Toyo Proxes cf2 but I haven't experienced them personallt so I'd reserve my comments.

      Hope this helps potential buyers.

Btw guys the euro star tyre is on paper better than yokohama advan DB in respect to all the quality and the grip levels i have seen the numerical comparisons of both these tyres when eurostar was being developed its at the same level as yokohama db and some figures were even higher .. i know you guys still wont believe me and say its got better grip and all but thats not true and the only difference is the there are more plys of nylon and steel in eurostar to keep it durable for our roads!

just stating facts here ive seen the actual comparison files while it was being developed ! the difference you guys feel is just in your head and maybe there is a slight hardness because of the extra plys but its to make the tyre durable baki we as pakis will never admit to a Paki tyre being better or equal to imported stuff ! koi na koi nuks nikal lein ge even if its not there and will say imported stuff feels better even if its the same.

BTW not saying its the best tyre because michelin and continental and some other yokohama tyres are much better but ive the comparison with yokohama ADVAN DB so just stated that here!
