Please read again. The cost was the problem. The guy i quoted said he has no problem as far as availability of the fuel is concerned. His point was cost only and whether he could afford it or not.

Wait and buy used 1.5t after 6 months... Will save you 5 lacs and there will be a solution to the fuel problem by then...
Let the first 15000 units bookies be the sufferers.
Most of them will end up selling..
And watchout for recalls as Atlas have the tendency to deliver faulty product initially after launch specially assembly and brakes issues then fix them laterz...

It's funny as some people have already mentioned that after tax and rego, there is little difference between the 2 oriels, why would anyone buy the 1.8.

      They should have had:

VTi = hard top with 1.8 starting @ 22 lacs
VTi Turbo = hard top with 1.5 turbo and some goodies @ 25 lacs
VTi Turbo Oriel = 1.5 turbo with sunroof and all the goodies @ 27 lacs

Leather and navigation should have been optional extra on all trims. I think sunroof too should be optional extra on all trims to reduce the price.

They think only 20% of the buyers will go for the turbo but actually it's the other way around, most buyers would have gone with the turbo if they had priced it right.

A lot people bought Grande over the 9th gen, and now more people are going to opt out of the idea of buying either 1.8 oriel or 1.5 oriel and look towards Grande.

You're right, Atlas suck big time at pricing and marketing strategy.

I wrote a big a** comment as to why regardless of all the this hoola.....one should still go for honda civic 1.8 instead of grande. But then I realised last time i tried talking some sense i was dubbed as passing on negativity. :-/

Civic higher end model has always been more expensive than corolla's higher end product. So a price difference of atleast 100 to 150k was expected. But a difference of 200k or above is a bit ridiculous. The final price should come down to the last part of 2.4 million for the 1.8 CVT. As we are a country who like to round of to nearest whole number.....a price 2.56 million will be called 2.6million and a price tag of 2.65 million will be considered 2.7 million and so on.

Civic will still be the better car incomparison to grande in many regards.

Im actually really happy with what has happened to all the ones who booked 1.5t without knowing actual prices or without even looking at the Pakistan assembled civic. This experience should knock some sense into blind consumerism.

Yes i know u all earn for urself and live for urself. And yes honda is here to earn profits. But seriously.......our country wont change unless we change. NO CONSUMER IN THEIR RIGHTFUL MIND CAN JUSTIFY THE PRE BOOKING FIASCO.

Kher hate me all u want to ( the ones who got 1.5t booked) but im really glad how they got duped by HONDA ATLAS.

P.s its Ramzan, i will still pray that things turn around for all of u and you some how get a good product which has no issues running on normal petrol ( though i highly doubt that). Lekin dua denay mein koi harj nahi.

Im sorry for spreading negativity. But its the harsh reality.

Yes he is right.. 87 in US is regular which is 91 elsewhere.. US use different formula for calculation which is around 4 to 5 point less than elsewhere rating.. This means you need 91 as Honda Atlas recommend as the ONLY.

Honda's lead power train engineer, Yuji Matsumochi is talking about a USDM and fuel specifically in the video.

10th Generation Civic Exclusive Pakistan Launch -1692395

Also to add if you see videos from Thailand they use regular in Civic.. its OK as in Thailand a regular is 91

Wait until the first 10000 turbo bookies/buyers aka kama kazis try it and suffer the fuel ron hiccup. After 6 months there will be a massive recall by atlas to fix a new modified fuel filter and catalitic convertor. First 10000 turbo car slot buyers will be selling atleast 5 lacs loss below their purchase price with their warranty void. Better wait see the car physically-check for reviews and fuel adaptability pledges by atlas.
Dont overwhelm them so they take you as granted. Mark it to mind it.

Yes i saw tht maybe they meant driving full wot or fast on super fuel may cause problem, i drive Audi A3 1.8tfsi now used to drive A4 1.8tfsi as well both got turbo engine. Audi dealer has told me to strictly stick on high-octane only but sometime when highoctane not available i ve filled super fuel with no problem.
