Ok can we please move past the 1.5T and its fuel issues. The thread is becoming really boring. I wanna talk about the suspension and soundproofing of the new civic.

Do you think that AHL will be soundproofing the car like the international version ?
What about the suspension. The 9th gen suspension was really uncomfortable.
One last thing with an increase in Rim size do you think it will effect the fuel consumption and ride comfort

I doubt Atlas will give extra sound proofing. Can't comment on the suspension unless the car is here or official brochure mentions it.
As far as the tyre size is concerned it has to be a blend of profile and width both to keep consumption and ride comfort negligibly different.
For Example when I swapped 195/65-15 on my 9th Gen with 205/60-16, the car felt rather more comfortable and better to drive. And there was no difference in fuel consumption. But on the other hand if i had gone for 235/50-17 the comfort and fuel consumption both would have taken a slightly more variation. Width affects fuel consumption and a lower rubber volume like low profile sacrifices comfort and softness. An overall variation of upto 2% or a maximum of 3% shouldn't affect much.
So comparing stock 215/55-16 if you go for 225/45-17 or even 215/50-17 it shouldn't affect much

Thanks. I do hope that they really soundproof the cabin like internationally and the suspension is rather soft compared to the 9th gen. I have read reviews that they have improved the suspension a lot but youre right only when the car comes out can we judge

The Thailand base model does have VSA and Push start. And if Thailand isn't making ignition switches for Civic would that mean they will make them for Atlas?

I was reviewing the US base model cluster that we are going to get in all our variants unfortunately, saw that the door open warning is the same as 8th gen without getting to know which door exactly is left open. This can be useful as everybody in the car does not have to slam the door to check. Corolla has it now and 9th gen did too. Moving on with the MID controls which are also available on the steering in the 9th gen seem to be stripped off. Are we moving forward or what Atlas?
Moreover, if you want to price a car at 3 million, then at least give all the options, including Honda sensing lane watch camera, LKAS etc. along with the blue cluster meter with touch sensitive controls and all other tech that you have stripped off.

But in another thread you said that there is no point in buying 1.8 as it is old wine in new bottle.

The least they should do is offer Oriel and Turbo with the graphic screen. And give the standard one on hardtop.

Thai base model has push start i wish they offer push start in hardtop also.
I'm not getting a hardtop if they minus the following: Cruise & VSA. And I am confident they might not give these in Hardtop. So... Oriel I might be in a relationship with you this time.

I think they will only add Climate control and Cruise this time in hardtop model no push start and no VSA.
