Black Oh Black, why you not easy to maintain in dust of Lahore

      https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=272964
Lahore has better weather (dust wise) than Karachi so say the least . Here in KHI keeping a black colour is a nuisance. Never going for black again. I can always see the lines on the paint when the drivers use a rigid cloth.

The LED lights do look pretty flashy. Having said that, has anyone done any research on importing them as we're pretty sure till now that we're not getting them from Atlas.
@architekt @fazalwahab Any idea about getting them from the US? The entire headlight. Since the body is the same across the world so it should be an easy swap.

Changing the headlights is not a simple job. Even if you somehow manage them, the wiring is a serious hassle and an experiment you wouldnt want to do. The normal headlight like we will get will be having simple 3 or 4 outlets connecting to the lamps. While the LED one will have a different back end.
Also if I remember vaguely @fazalwahab11375 mentioned different amperes for LED out of electrical system compared to regular ones. Which is understandable because LED is much more energy efficient and requires a totally different value of current.
It is though absolutely possible as I saw pictures of a DIY swap on a car from Thailand. (Did someone post a reference at this very forum?) But at the cost of playing and altering your electrical wiring for headlights.

Leni toh hai hee ab. But I'm really confused due to a couple of issues. This Black grill, no doubt its beautiful but, I like the chrome one better. I guess I should revert to 1.8 and sell it off as I'd have to wait out a year before I get to drive my car on a regular basis. Actually its my senior year at LUMS and after that I'd be moving back to Khi where I intend to keep the car for myself as my father is not a huge fan of sedans and usually keeps a 4x4 for his chores. So I guess that'd be enough time to wait and see the situation of the turbo. Then in the winter break I'd book another one which would take around 4-5 months to come. Enough for me to graduate and return back.

      Bad news guys
Just have seen the tv head line news in which minister for petroleum clearly admitted that pakistan imports the worst quality of fuel in pakistan ... so this is for sure now that high octane will be mendatory for turbo and honda japan or what ever region we belong to will not entertain warranty claims from pakistan ..... but i wish i will be wrong

I wonder what's their stand on the insurance + tracker that they offer at the dealerships whenever one gets a new car delivery, does getting that makes the electrical warranty void? cause I'm sure they add a wire or two for the tracker in addition to messing with the dashboard.

No, trackers are allowed as per their policy and exempted from officially considering it as an alteration. Provided the tracker is installed under supervision of a 3S or allowed and informed to them. Any sort of service that Atlas workshop can perform themselves as well is not considered. For example if you ask a 3S to install HIDs, they dont do that hence considered as out of company alteration. They dont install amps and subwoofers or change to non oem speakers even. But if you ask them to replace your old oem speakers to new ones, they do that.

These other additions also usually dont play any role in malfunction of other things, but an excuse is an excuse for the manufacturer. They just need a reason to deny you service for which they consider these alterations as things that can void warranty.

Excuse they have for the amp: it draws extra current and can create a short in wiring since market electricians are not carefull which can mess up other electricals. Same excuse of extra current and possibility of short wiring for HIDs

You can do a swap, at cost of around 1200 for headlights.. plus cost of new harness.. plus you need to change programming at OBD so that electrical module change to new headlights.. LED will not work or get damaged until you update the software.. It is possible but at a high cost and risk as you will be importing a product..

By the way I had a tracker in my 9th gen installed at the 3S in collaboration with United Tracking company due to bank finance requirements.
One day it started creating problems, wouldnt crank and a "check ignition" message started displaying on iMid. Would start after many attempts of switching off, locking and unlocking. Problem started occuring occassionally every now and then.
It then got frequent. Took it to Honda Point after requesting the car to please start once. Turned out the tracker itself was creating a short and jamming the ignition. They had to change the entire tracker kit and wiring.

You can do a swap, at cost of around 1200 for headlights.. plus cost of new harness.. plus you need to change programming at OBD so that electrical module change to new headlights.. LED will not work or get damaged until you update the software.. It is possible but at a high cost and risk as you will be importing a product..
Thank you @arkhitekt & @fazalwahab for the answers and my apologies for this already discussed topic. Too many pages but I shall see the links and search also.

I guess I'll stick to the originals then. I have no intention of playing around with the electrical system of the car.

Meaning roughly a cost of Rs.150,000 ($1200+misc expense) after harness and fitting charges etc. Plus the risk of damaging your warranty. EBD malfunction even if due to manufacturing defect, blame will fall on the self altered headlight system

Lol all these answers have definitely made my mind to not touch the electrical system of the car with some additions or subtractions

I'm good with the normal lights.

I think after some time these will become more common as more and more people will import. I will suggest you dont want to be the first one. Lets few come and we see how its installed and if its working properly and at cost of what..
Regular halogen to projector swap is easy.. but here we are talking about LED's and it needs a new harness as well as software update..
Let me talk to local dealer and see what he tells me about this upgrade.. I mean I will ask him how difficult it is and what or if anything need a change in electrical module. As far as I know and have experienced with my car.. LED swap was easy but I needed a software update.. the software even controls the brightness level..
