HOWEVER C/D (links above) found the civic to be much more fuel efficient as opposed to EPA numbers (29 vs 24 MPG)

Let's assume Grande has seven actual gears, where in the city do you plan to drive in something more than a 4th Gear. Considering you are from Lahore, would you shift into anything more than 4th in the Mall Road? Cavalry Bridge? Main Boulevard DHA? MM Alam road? Tufail Road? Shami Road? Main Boulv Gulberg? Well yes you can do that on Ring Road which doesn't count as 90% Lahoris unlike a few who commute between DHA new phases, Sui Gas etc and Airport. And that too not always.
Incase you have an answer: After 10 at night you can do it on all major roads, well that's not exactly normal City driving.
About the highway, I'm posting a picture from my Islamabad M2 Trip in a while when I fetched 16.5+ all the way till salt range and 16+ at the end of journey including salt range. And that was not exactly winters, and I may add on a Prosmatec transmission

Let the car come and time will tell what it does on our roads, traffic and overall within City driving conditions of most owners. Till then it's pointless defending anything

Notice the temperature in first image with 16.7, 26 degrees in afternoon in a car is not exactly something comfortable without AC
And for those who dont like R18 engine, surprisingly this is an R18 coupled with Prosmatec

Another idea of R18Z1 with Prosmatec. Within City and AC. 26 degrees again is not exactly a winters night.

Alas! You have a point. Though I have heard it's visually not bad at all, and the startup is too cool even on the standard cluster

Dear i have a very clear idea on this ... technically it is not necessary that a car having 7 speeds should always be in 7th gear to hyper miling ... actually its the shifting ratios that count .... in such cars the they shift in short ratios and keep very low rpm resulting low engine noise and better fuel efficiency ..
Any ways let the car come and then c what happens

I am now thinking to change the Color from Black to tafetta white .. Black is the best no doubt but while cleaning my 11th gen Corolla today which is hardly 6 month used that too with care and micro fibre cloths always and with almost all precautions i have read on net to avoid swirls . Even then today i noticed few swirls here and there . Its Medium Silver Metallic .. Black pe to phir koi andaza hy nae

Though I am total noob in technical stuff but I think the 7 speed mode only works during paddle shift. And in such an artificially induced different gears of a CVT such as Corolla or City Steermatic there won't be much difference
A CVT is constantly variating the gears all the time in any case
