Yes and you can't blame the customers who have booked the cars in much anticipation and people are calling it pathetic

For me, i don't mind but some people are sensitive in their love for the car.

Why dont the people realize if they wont call the wrong thing wrong, how will it become right. If you will keep praising poor quality, you will keep getting poor quality, its as simple as that.

Overall I liked the car, Oriel is the best option in my opinion. Yes, there are few defects here and there but overall I liked it. Corolla also faced lots of criticism at launch but now its the best selling car. The killer looks and the interior just ^increased^ the love of this car.

Not at all in my opinion.
For 150k you miss out following.

      Sunroof. no aftermarket availability
      Cruise control. no aftermarket availability
      Smart Entry. no aftermarket availability
      Fog lights. 10k
      Alloys. 40k
      Push start. no aftermarket availability

There are features which are not available from open market and you save only 100 for them.
Therefore i feel oriel is the best bargain

Exactly the same opinion I have.
The oriel is the best one. And these short comings are expected. No need to have high hopes from pkdm cars.
Still new civic is best option in 2.5 million.

I appreciate fazal wahab bhai for speaking up. Some people just never criticise the automakers. No matter what they offer. We are told to compromise. We can't criticise the poor quality and cheap cost cutting and if we do we are told to go buy a mercedes. But again these are the people who blindly book these cars without even seeing them on the floor. Yes I'm angry because we people have to suffer, just look at car industry in Pakistan, one of the very worst in the world.
Yes honda did a great job by launching it quick and providing a turbo variant here but it should know where it needs to improve.

Someone mentioned here that 9th and 10th have the same suspension? Is that correct?

For all those who saw the interior of civic X, will you rate it better than 9th? I really liked the interior of 9th gen but skipped it and preferred Grande over it for its exterior shape. If this is equivalent or better than 9th, i wont think a second time to buy a Grande again.

9th gen had a double wishbone suspension whereas civic X has a multilink suspension which is an upgraded form good for both comfort and handling at the same time.

Guys guys....Calm down people. Its all good with the Atlas bashing. They deserve it.

However, this is what we get in Pakistan and it WILL NOT improve unless more car companies come in the game. That's as simple as it gets. We have the right to complain but Atlas might read but will not pay any heed to them as they will sell what they make. They have cut corners with every car which is a PKDM BUT as mentioned earlier, its as good as it gets for us in PK. Look around at how many locally PDKM companies you have. 3 or 4 if I'm not wrong. That's about it.

Did Atlas do a survey in the PK market asking people what they expect from the new civic? Anything of the sort? No! They are a money making machine.

If they increase their price, they are only putting a dent in their own revenue stream as some people who cannot afford a civic and don't like what the base model is giving will go for a corolla (It's only competitor as far as PKDM).

At the end of the day its a loss for Atlas, Suzuki, and Indus. Yes we don't get the car we hoped for but this will continue to happen until the government introduces an auto policy which has some rules and regulations as far as the Quality and Features of the cars are concerned with minimum amount of airbags, etc etc.

I want to give an honest unbiased review and comparison of 10th gen vs 9th gen. I went to see civic X in Honda North Peshawar

I spent most of the time with turbo version

      - The car does look huge from the outside and i really love the exterior design...i did not scrutinize the paint job though as i am not an expert at that

      - Engine bay of turbo looks very congested just like R18 looks in 9th gen while the R18 in 10th gen engine bay, thora thora khali lagta hai but the congestion is still there...the turbo engine has a weird sound but i think cabin is well insulated from these sounds...the engine is the same R18Z1 as the 9th gen but slightly different in looks, the connections to the spark plugs are outside

      - The meter sweep while starting looks cool and thats pretty much it for whats there to like about this cluster...the cluster is ok but the graphical one would have been much better...i like the 9th gen cluster, way better in my opinion

      - The interior design was great...people saying "photos dont do justice" were right...interior design looks way better in person

      - On the other hand people telling about low quality materials are also right...upper part of the dash board was a little soft to touch...unlike the dash board of 9th gen which is hard plastic

      - I did not play with the navigation because jab men betha to key fob shaid door tha...car wasnt starting when i pressed the push start button...meter b on nahi hua

      - The doors had mixed sort of feels...in some parts i could feel soft touch materials like 9th gens upper part of doors...in other parts i felt soft touch but when i pressed hard on it i could feel the hard plastic inside...it was like having "leather" wrapped directly on hard plastic...and some other parts of the door were hard plastic...in comparison i like the doors of 9th gen more

      - Both driver and passenger door handles had lock buttons on the outside

      - On the driver side, driver and passenger power window buttons were auto
      - Trunk opening button/lever has been moved at the bottom of the driver door

      - The seats of new civic were really comfortable...i absolutely loved them after sitting in my 9th gen for a few months now

      - "Leather" seat covers were not good...i do not prefer having leather seats and the quality of this "leather" was also not good as some people have stated it is Rexene...i do not know what both of them look like but i can see that it was very low quality...we have fabric seats in 9th gen so cant compare quality

      - The rear entertainment is absolutely useless in my opinion...i dont even watch movies on the front navigation unit let alone the rear one...besides, the screen looked small for rear passengers anyways and angle would also be an issue as these are low quality screens and if two people are sitting in the back they wont have good viewing angles

      - Due to the rear entertainment system the center arm rest does not move backwards even when the screen is folded in its compartment

      - The center console is better than 9th gen as it has more storage space but the cup holder type of things are weird...one of them is very low so that i am assuming is to keep a bottle and another one, which is removable, is to keep a cup but the weird thing is you need to open the console to access the cup holder which tells me its not a cup holder...secondly if we compare it to usdm, we do not have those sliding trays and cup holders

      - The rear vents, although a really nice feature...i think more vendors should start having this feature, but they are placed far away from the passengers and also very low near the floor. As someone said they have very little air flow so they might become useless as well

      - Another issue with the rear vents is also due to its position and that is if a person is sitting in the center over that hump...the side passengers wont be getting any air from the vents as his legs would be blocking the air...this and the above issue makes the rear vents useless

      - The leg room has increased considerably in the back...i sat in the back and told the front passenger to move the seat back fully and also tilt the seat back 2 notches...i am 6'0" and that was the point when my knees started to touch the front seat...my hair were barely touching the roof, had about half an inch or maybe an inch above my head...in comparison there is no way i can sit like this in 9th gen civic

      - I really liked this move by honda to make the dash board smaller and increase rear leg room as compared to 9th gen...there is not much utility of having such a large dash board while rear leg room is way more important

Don't know if Atlas is doing it in house from untrained workers or have them trained from professional detailers? Can anybody who have contacts with Honda dig out this glass coating fiasco?

I hope that Honda people read all those posts and feedback and remove those flaws and shoddy jobs and to begin with give a trunk liner.

      - Trunk capacity is also huge but i cannot compare it with 9th gen because there was no way honda was going to let me put suitcases in it to compare trunk capacity...

      - The button to open the trunk is a really nice soft button...a nice addition

      - There is a bar behind the rear seats which were also present in 9th gen and due to that we do not have those folding seats as well

      - There were some vents in the back and when i asked a honda employee what they were, he said its to assist the rear defogger, they are connected to the air conditioning...i do not believe him but that is what he said

      - On a light note i dont know why many people were criticizing the rims at the start...in my opinion they look way better than 9th gen oem rims even in pictures

      - No capless fuel filler...the same as 9th gen but the push-to-open fuel filler door is a nice feature

      - Its nice to see insulations at the bottom and the bonnet but its a shame not having it in the trunk...i hope these insulations make the car quieter

      - The usb ports were inside the glove box in 9th gen as well but this time AUX port is also in the dash board which in my opinion is a bad move...instead of moving the usb ports out of the glove they also moved he AUX port in the glove box

      - With the usb and aux inside the glove box, there is no need to have the whole cable management area in front of the shifter

I wonder why they put ducts here when we already have the defoger.

It's amazing very good feature will quickly defog the screen, but wonder how air will be blown from these vents?
