I will not be judgmental here. I am asking a question in my post.. is it possible you can ask dealer. well it will not work BTW becuase dealer still think there is PT in 1.5 and 1.8.. But we should be informed enough what we are buying.. My posts was to share some facts.. its up to members to make an opinion on basis of it.

^ AT / PT / CVT can be set once honda atlas makes it universal. Here usually a metric pass secretary lady is told baji price list khoobsorat si Bana k print kerke photocopy keralein with zero knowledge of anything
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

      First impressions.
Well the car looks good in person. Pretty much the same as what I saw back in United States.

As soon as I opened the door to sit in. Hopped in. Seats?
Dang! Seats are totally not the same. Much much downgraded. Stitching of that so called leather is really pathetic.

I won't talk about those door welds and all as it has already been discussed and described in detail by the OP of this thread.

Coming towards the center console. Well. They've ruined center console by shoving in that stupid good for nothing screen and the arm rest isn't even adjustable. Thumbs up Atlas for ruining that center console and arm rest.

Uneven gaps between different panels in interior caught my attention. See the pictures attached below.
I mean for heaven's sake Atlas. You people are charging us 3.0 million rupee for this very car and look at this build quality. I really expected something better from you people this time. But what you people have come up with is absolutely disappointing. Heck even my 9th gen civic or 2015 City doesn't have these kinda flaws.

Here. Have a look at the finish.
10th Generation Civic Exclusive Pakistan Launch -1701899

Walked out of Honda Avenue in confusion. I couldn't believe my eyes. Was that really a Honda Civic about which I used to brag among Toyota Corolla owners that build quality of Civic is far better? Well.. I'm still in a state of shock.
Checked three cars in Honda avenue and all of them had these issues.

Since I had to go Pindi saddar for some errand. I decided to pay a visit to Honda Centre to check the cars on display over there as I had heard that there were some issues with initial lot of cars. Checked 3 cars over there and every car had these finishing issues and build quality issues. I even got a car opened which was reserved for a customer. Even that car had same issues.

Conclusion : Totally disappointed and surprised what Atlas has done to this car.
I would surely think more than twice before buying this very PKDM Civic and yes this is coming from a loyal PKDM Honda customer/enthusiast who has owned 6th,7th,8th,9th gen civic.

      Regards.
For all the touchy people disliking the criticism, heres a genuine honda civic fan, I have read his comments in the 11th gen corolla thread. Now plz dont start labling him the guy with a 9th generation who is jealous of Civic X or doesnt have money to upgrade and is just a chaska party.

Our family have kept Civic's since 4th gen ... myself my first ever car on which i learned to drive was a 88 civic back in 89-90 ... i was disappointed by the QC of Honda because even till 9th Gen apart from slight hiccup here and there it was a fine product, yeah they cut corners in entertainment system, airbags, navigation etc but not on fundamentals such as dash or joints etc

i think they rushed in, our awam in their thirst to be "first one ever to drive the new xyz (fill in your favourite brand may it be corolla or civic or city or whatever" didn't disappointed them when they paid up front for a product without even looking at it followed by justifications to poor QC in name of "you are toyota fan boy / can't afford / chaska party" etc etc ...

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, heck it's not my 3.2 mil so i don't give a rat's behind on what you do with your money but one thing for sure, such ignorance on QC from our part is going to hurt us in the longer run as the manufacturer will be more confident in getting away literally with murder and delivering us crap in name of their brand's

Civic across globe has multi-link rear but there are some connected facts

In US 2L gets 16" wheels. 1.5T gets 17" standard.
      Civic in Australia 1.8 gets 16" 1.5T 17"
      Thailand 1.8 have 16", 1.5T 17" standard.
Indonesian only have 1.5T and its 17".

I was at local dealer and I discussed about the new multi-link rear suspension on Civic X. As I mentioned many time before as well even 9th was having multi link in US as well as Thailand. I asked him him whats new.. and I came to know that the multi-liNK has been improved over previous by making it better as far as the suspension design. The major development and improvement is the availability of hydraulic fluid filled rear bushing. Yes this is something you see on high end cars and Honda provided this to 1.5T only. The fluid filed busing gives much better control on noise, vibration and handling.

Its not there on 2L models in US and I was told by Honda product specialist that availability of standard 17" wheel is not just for making car look better or upscale but it has a lot to do with the proper handling and suspension setup.

Sadly 1.5 T PKDM is the only Civic across globe with 16" wheels. This no wonder tends to push me and think that PKDM Civic is/ might not be with the hydraulic fluid filled rear bushing which actually Honda very well documented and its part of their detailed press kit and they projected it a lot. Also the other main thing associated with the suspension is the wide stance and lower COG on Civic X.. which is about 14 to 15 mm lower of the outgoing 9th.

We also know that PKDM civic is not only with 16" wheels on turbo, it is also has a ground clearance of 153mm which is 20mm more than other global Civics. This means that PKDM suspension is though a new multi-link rear but its not what we have on overseas model. I would not apply international review of handling on PKDM as all inputs are completely changed. I wish I could test drive and tell you an immediate difference but I am sure there will eb a major difference.

Will anyone call the dealer and ask what they have in rear suspension? Also are there stabilizers bars as on international model because Honda website just don't talk about anything which matters most.

I have 4- eyes buddy and just like yourself i have always been a civic user between 2001 upto 2015, owned 5models in this period, and while i visited the showroom at city sales lahore 3rd time in 3 days, 3cars that were delivered had no fit/finish and welding joint issues, they were neatly managed.

Just as they say Haste makes Waste, Honda should have acted patiently and wisely, as civic is their Main Selling point in Pakistan as well.

I dont understand why the display units were so poor and now since so much is being said and done delivery vehicles are in good condition.

Not pointing any one out in particular but during my visit to city sales recently while i was keenly observing every knook and cranny of the civic, two guys were sitting in the front and having a chat by pretending to be misters know-it-all.

They were calling the paddle shifters as volume controls despite the fact that volume buttons were clearly visible. I broke into an endless Laugh in the back seat, and then told the chaps that bhai yeh gear change karnay k liye hain agar aap sports mode yani k " S " mai daal kar chalaingay gari ko.

They were like Hain???? Steering se bhe gear change hotay hain??? Wah jee wah.

@fazalwahab our display vehicles have been physically abused and tortured by our lovely Awaam. Tail light cracked, boot opener broken, dashboard door laying slack down in the footwells etc etc. When will people learn????

I agree but pictures shared by @Sk_KingpiN show diffrent story.

We should accept there are shortcomings here and I hopeful and agree that these welds or fit finish issues will be resolved. It would have been much better if Honda displayed showcased units without these visible defects.. today we would have been talking something diffrent

While the QC bashing here continues and hopefully comes to the notice of Honda Atlas for correction in delivery cars, I personally went to finalize payment for my pre-booked, after a call from their rep.

Prebooked of June 8 was Turbo. And 2 days before launch, they convinced me into 1.8 over the phone. And then today....I still stuck firm with the Turbo and presented the DD of remaining amount. 1.5T....it's going to be, Inshallah.

      Few observations:

      1) Lunar silver is really not that "lunar" as supposed, and as per pictures here.

In reality......it's pretty dull. Car looses the sporty looks. So.....decided White.

      2) IMHO.......The "on-road" price difference between fully loaded Oriel and Turbo 1.5 is hardly 285.000-300.000 for non-filers.

I deem a long wait for this gen....and the dishing out of +2.5 Mils already.....DOES justify the selection of Turbo....if the budget allows.

      3) I asked if test-drive was possible....and guess what I was frankly told? " Sir Jee, if we allowed test driving, people would test the Turbo more than the Oriel......and after tasting it's drive.....well......they probably wouldn't be comfortable with the 1.8"!!!!

Whatever......I'm of the opinion that a model change after 8-10 years ( Yes, forget the transient 9 gen), a car needs to be changed beyond the looks only.

I feel and hope....Earth Dreams is here to stay.....and posing a torque factor of 230 vs 175 of Oriel, and 174 Hp's vs 140 of Oriel.......it's gonna stay with customer satisfaction.

4 in the cockpit....trunk full..... and uphills....The turbo is gonna be more pleasing to your foot pressure, IMHO.

It's not at all about "racing". The added 'musclemania" can be a utility indeed.

      Regards.

      Guys. An update!

Someone from Honda reached out to me and assured me that weld issues have been taken seriously at the higher level as the post on social media gone viral.

Respected QC team has already pulled up their sleeves and hopefully as we agreed as well, the posted weld issues will be resolved. I am sharing this for the fact that as we show anger on bad things, we must appreciate the good steps as well.

For the privacy reason I can't share the name or designation. We will bring up this issue if we see same on delivered cars.

      Thanks

Someone from Honda reached out to me and assured me that weld issues have been taken seriously at the higher level as the post on social media gone viral.

Respected QC team has already pulled up their sleeves and hopefully as we agreed as well, the posted weld issues will be resolved. I am sharing this for the fact that as we show anger on bad things, we must appreciate the good steps as well.

For the privacy reason I can't share the name or designation. We will bring up this issue if we see same on delivered cars.

      Thanks

@fazalwahab11375 this is what i was saying, if anything goes viral on social media, it hits where it hurts- now we as a customer will get better finished cars with better quality, that was the ultimate motive of all the bashing, if it does it job --its actually job well done , its not easy to move corporate giants , specially in Pakistan, thumbs up for all your efforts.

Have you asked them about the suspension? The people at dealership doesnt even knows the difference between PT and CVT so no point asking them, its a bit technical question and only some one from the factory can answer.
