So sticking to tyres that came along.....

Basic help/ question from you two oowners

      1. I live in Islamabad, which good service sta u recommend ( car is from Honda centre, Rwp)
      2. Basic things are to be bought:
A: which cleaning stuff, cloth, shampoo, brush etc u recommend? Pics will help
      B. Wax brand
      C. Etc etc
I have upgraded from Alto so now intend keeping the beauty upto mark with regular maintenance....
      Congratulations to the X club!

Well.... As far as service center, you probably should stick to where you took the car from, unless it's way too far.

I personally bought from Honda Avenue, but the highway there is like Raja Bazaar these days, so I may use their I-10 center from now on.

As for maintenance products, Maguire is what I used to use on my black cars.. I'm not quite sure if they've anything specific for white, so I took Chemical Guys "White Light" this time @4200.

Sonax also offers white specific waxes.

Do get a Meguairs "water magnet" drying cloth @1500-1700, for drying the car after wash.. And then use Micro Fibre cloths for remaining wiping.

My car is dirty since 2 days, but I kept myself away from dry dusting it.... Better wait till wash... And this is preferred also.

Hey guys! Will be getting new tyres tomorrow for my Turbo. Going for the 225/55/r16. The guy at the shop is suggesting Pirelli P7s. Is it a good or better than the Yokos or the Dunlops?

      Pesh bro....for you...

There's no way that you can fill the arch gap with a 225/55/16.....then 215/50/16 may yield you half an inch more to the height.... Still not enough..

You probably have to go for 17 then.... But I would not suggest it... And the gap is not that much visible in actual.... The Civic X looks do not allow one to focus on anything but it's body... 😉

Unfortunately, there are a lot of such beghairats around in our society. Mostly, it's done by teenagers just to get the thrill of annoying someone and have some fun to share with the (bad) company of friends they've got. There are a lot of guys who like destruction and get happy to see someone's misery, maybe due to their own life frustrations. I've personally been suffered from this multiple times. It's actually their parents who are to be blamed as they are the ones who fail to teach their kids good manners and be a responsible citizen.

A detailed review will follow, as soon as I get the mods done up... Hopefully in the weekend.... Some nice new items appearing... Gotta check them out personally...

But honestly.... My preliminary impressions on the 1.5T @650kms on the ODO :

      " I want 1 more" 😚

      Exquisite handling and braking...

Perfect road grip and BUTTER SMOOTH ride..

Averts MOST speed breakers even with 4 in the cabin.... 👍 👍 👍

Comfortable enough seating with a perfect lower back support... 👍 👍 👍

      Spacious interior with lovely ambiance...

And don't ask me to comment on the Turbo factor.... The torque is just outta the world for a family sedan... 👍 👍 👍

Mixed drive giving around 14 km/ltr so far.. 👍

      WS,

Currently there are 3 variants of the civic, the 1.8, the 1.8 Oriel, and the 1.5 Turbo. Please check the Honda Atlas website for a detailed difference between the 3 variants to understand which one is missing what.

As per my opinion the only thing which will differentiate a ride comfort between them all is that the 1.8 non Oriel version doesn't have rims. I'm not sure how much of a comfort level it affects but people who have tried both may be better to comment here.

Aside from that, it really depends on what you want to do with the car when deciding which variant to get.

I for one went for the turbo initially but since I am an avid cross country driver so the issue of 1.5 Turbo needing high octane is something I could not ignore and this changed my booking to a 1.8 Oriel.

If you're mostly driving within the city then you could slip towards the 1.5 Turbo but do keep all of its pros and cons in mind.
