Default Chocked Catcon?? Civic 8th gen 08

    Hi guys..
Well i have a civic 8th gen( reborn) and its odo is 81k kms..I notice that while starting the car in the morning the exhaust sounds throaty and heavy as if something is obstructing it..if i go near the tail pipe the sound comes as puffffff not a constant exhaust sound..when the car warms up the noise becomes smooth..i havent till yet ever got the cat con cleaned..Here are my questions:

Could all the symptoms be due to a chocked cat con?
Do honda 3s clean the cat con and how well do they do it and how much do they charge??
Could it ne some other thing other than the exhaust??

IF the CAT Con is blocked or clogged due to sulfur and lead residue it can be cleaned unfortunately the dealer ship's don't had the proper equipment's to flush the CAT CON they just simply break away the CAT which in your vehicle is like Jumping off from a cliff. SO if you have some suspicion about he CAT Con first get your vehicle AFR(Air fuel Ratio) analyzed then after analysis if the AFR is showing rich then you had to service your CAT if it is in range and showing lean in IDLE then it is fine and not clogged yet. Or do it your self by removing the Primary AFR sensor and seeing through the Hole and see if the honey comb like filter had all of it's hole's opened and clearly visible then you are good to goo if not then you need to service it. I will post more info later about the procedure.

Bro i have the fuel ratio analysed its showing short term fuel trims to be -7 hence it is running rich..these values are at idle when the car is running it still shows -4..hence i think its chocked but not too badly..as far as dealerships are concerned ive read from a few posts that honda ppl do clean it and dont break it but im nt sure..some ppl say to redline ur car in 2md gear and that will clean the cat con..im confused..pls guide me as to what shuld i do?

By analyzing the short or long term fuel trims you can't judge the afr but still you can observe the cat by removing the primary o2 sensor and analyzing the cat physically for the references I'm posting some pictures of the blocked cat's which I had serviced on cat purging machines.

isn't the catalytic convertor seems damaged after cleaning, in first pic there are no holes in the catalyst but in second pics there are many holes in the fine honeycomb mesh.

IMO if people took care of their check engine light and oxygen sensors and redlined the car occasionally this "choking" wouldn't happen in the first place
If everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane!

No in the first picture the cat was blocked compleatly by blocking the holes which dont let pass the exaust gases through it after cleaning the blockage on the holes was cleared of letting the exaust gases run freely through it.
