Question XM2 vs Advan dB vs SP Sport 490,which one to choose for 9th gen civic?

AoA. Please guide me which one of theses tires should I choose, Michelin XM2, Yokohama Advan dB, Dunlop SP Sport or anything even better than these in the same price range or a bit more or less?

Priorities are "low cabin noise" and "better fuel economy". Car doesn't go beyond 120 km/h on highways and max. 75km/h inside city(sometimes). Stock size(195/65/15) is required.

Advan dB, CC5 and Pirelli P6. Go for any one of these, all are the best known for comfort and low road noise.

^If you live in G-7 then Khan Tyres in Melody Market G-6 is very close to you as he is also the authorized dealer for Continental...This is his number 051-2879244.

And yes I have C-Drive and it is really good, giving no issues but now I want to taste the pleasure of a more mazeydaar thing like Advan DB or Continental CC5!!!

Please tell me which one is the best out of DB and CC5...Thanks!!!

CC5 in my knowledge coming in 195/65R15 is made in 3 countries Malaysia, France and Germany!!!

Khan Tyres gives the rate for 195/65R15 size genuine one is Rs.9000 for Malaysia, 11000 for France and 12,500 for Germany!!!

What will you people suggest out of these three...I am also not so high on budget so is it fine to go with the Malaysian one...Asking this specially from our dearest brother Sk_KingpiN who is using CC5 in his Civic!!!

great thread am also looking to upgrade my ride yokohama blue earth tyres to michelin hp primacy or better .. i believe for 2013 models Honda put sound insulation in the wheel wells, behind the dash, and thicker windshield/front windows to cut down on the road noise but on a lighter note i believe honda civic are economy cars so it is inevitable that there will be road noise to a certain extent the only suggestion i have is turn the radio up and enjoy the tunes

I recommended Yokohama because as per my previous experience their braking was better than Dunlop (i am talking about normal rating tyres of both brands), didnt used to get de shaped and no complaints of puncture.

but that is my personal openion tough.

Regarding Michelin a collegue recently busted a XM2 for no apparent reason so m not sure about them.

Nope. But i do need to know if any brand is offering 195/60R15 and 205/55R15. I found out that 195/55R15 is way too low profile so my next option is the above mentioned sizes.

Bro please reply that which model of Civic you drove, I mean 8th Gen or 9th Gen and also tell that how much are you satisfied with the noise level of C-Drive...I think it isn't so silent...Kinda disappoints in this matter...Comfortable also surely is like you are saying but that also I guess for car like a Honda with stiff suspension, it does not pleases on especially poor quality of roads or broken roads or like if you drive in any rough area!!!

Default XM2 vs Advan dB vs SP Sport 490,which one to choose for 9th gen civic?

I had Hankook Optimo ME02 in my 8Gen
The worst tyre i have ever bought, paid quite a lot for that tyre but was a mistake to buy those.

Have Yokohama Advan DB V551 in my 9Gen, it is a very soft tyre with low road noise. Once you get them on give them a couple of kms to settle down and get to absorb the weight of the car and shape accordingly. I traded my EuroStars for the Yokohamas i think i paid 17k on top. Profile was 195-65-15. Bought from Speed tyres Lahore. Bought in April 2014 the tyre was stamped Dec 2013.

Bro why did you get Advan...You could also get CC5...Advan biggest disadvantage is that it gets punctured easily...I am also a user of it and I have seen that its sidewall is very soft so obviously this tyre can not be used roughly...Ya yoon keh lein isko itna ragra nahin diya ja sakta...Now do you agree with me?

Haan ji...Mere kehne ka matlab tha ke villages waghera ya gandi roads ke liye shayad Advan DB itna suitable na ho...I think Continental CC5 is a better option than Advan DB with almost same price tag...Ek to uska steering response Advan se behtar hai jaisa ke maine Pakwheels par suna hai logon se aur doosra its wet grip is also better than DB which lacks wet grip!!!

Advan ki ek ye baat Continental se behtar hai ke iski life zyada hai...It lasts longer than CC5!!!
