If you don't have a reputable mechanic in mind, get the suspension diagnosed by Honda. Then if it suits you, do the repair job or rectify the problem from there or head elsewhere. Diagnosis is the key.

Check your power steering assembly n related pipes for any possible small leaks. I had a lesser voice and went for service which included replacement of some O rings in power steering assembly.

Shock mounts also produce such a sound. Check the bearing as well

bro i had a 2002 civic vti some time ago. that also produced somewhat similar sounds upon turning the steering wheel. i took it to honda drive in, after checking they diagnosed to be of dried front springs. got them oiled, n sound went away. because once car is stationary, axles role dont come into play....

My civic 08 also has the same noise and my cousins 07 civic also has the same noise..my ride is quite stiff too so it culd be the springs getting dried up with use.
nonetheless i guess its quite common with the 07-08 civics and till now i hvnt had something major comeup so get it diagnosed and if they cant just leave it it wont be of harm..One thing that i do notice is that when i wash my car and/or when its raining outside the noise goes away..thats weird:-/

Is the issue resolved? I am facing the same phenomenon with my 09 Oriel. Any recommendation!
