650 is the top price for a really good 96 EK. I hate to say it but by the sounds of it, you paid more for what you got.
All I can tell you is that no matter how much you put into it, you'll not be able to get it back. Your car will remain a 650k car, if not depreciate.
I'll give you a rough break down of the stuff.
Powersteering pump and accessories - 8k
Steering rack (which I am pretty sure has gone bad by the sound of what you say) - 7k
Suspension bushings, z links, ball joints - 12-14k
Shocks kabuli - 5k for a nice pair x 2 (repair won't work on these)
CV joints kabuli - 6k
Bodywork & good quality paint (sideskirts and floor) - 8k
Radiator (if leaks) - 5k
Gasket - Sasti but trust me, won't work so engine - 34-36k
Include labor charges - around 10-12k for all this stuff
Now I have been a little generous with the estimate, and that's because in reality repairs end up being a good 20% above our estimates i.e. you open something up, you find something screwed, you say eff it, khulla hai change kar do.
