I wouldn't trust honda guys on their vague statement of 'compression is good'.
Do a compression test on your own, or have it done in front of you. Anything below 150 is not acceptable for whatever you want from the car above 140kmph.
I am not sure if I understand correctly, but if your car is an auto it should cut off at 5500 in P & D. It cuts off at 6200 and that makes me second Hash that your engine may be swapped without swapping your ECU.
