    Default Civic 95 Suggestion

    I have a budget of 500k-550k
Im thinking of getting civic 95, used to have 2005 vti and being quite a Honda fan, I'm somehow attracted to this dolphin shape but what's stopping me is the maintenance issue since my daily drive is almost 60kms Rwp/I'd. I just want to know is it a good daily drive option? Thankyou

There are many respected and senior members much experienced in the field of 95 Civic. @Spano has been into this model as far as i know. But the thing is 96 Civic has seen its days of glory despite the fact that its still a very capable car. If you could afford the maintenance and fuel costs, go for it. Because no matter how well maintained a car you get, you will still have to spend a lot to bring it to your level of liking. If you make up your mind and find a nice 95 Civic, we will be more than happy to help.

what ever you do, the older your car will be, the more will be its maintenance.

even if you find the best 95 in Pakistan. The age does matter
If maintenance is your concern, then go for a smaller car but upper models.

    Exclamation Awesome car...

I owned a Civic 95 from 1995 to 2012 (0 meter) and it was an awesome car! Handling, looks were exceptional, fuel economy without a/c was good and reliability was also good. However, towards the end of my ownership it started giving small problems which I attribute towards old age.

If you are going to keep the car as a commuter then it may give you give you some trouble and weekends would probably be spent with your friendly neighbourhood mechanic. Its better to look for a newer car which will give you less trouble especially on commutes to work and back.

I do own one '95 Civic EG with the 1.6L engine (the engine is still original). Its been with for quite a while now. The car is nice to drive, its spacious, handling is great, AC is awesome for its age (it works wonders on long drives), the exterior is also great, the interior still has that "new car" feel because its detailed almost every week. I learned to drive on that car and I simply love it. The engine has enough power to do a nice peel-out. I personally love the noise of the engine, its a joy to hear when you rev it. Ground clearance is also good, the mudflaps do hit the super-sized "speed-breakers" of our country. The car is extremely reliable and tough. The car has a sleek profile. For a car of its age, it still performs better than most of the PKDM cars on the road. Our car was driven almost 200KMs daily now it usually stays in the garage because we use the other cars we have. Fuel economy is very variable. In the city, with AC; the car will give around 7-9 KPL and without AC its 10 KPL. On the highway with AC, it will give around 13-14 KPL. Without AC, it'll give around 15-16 KPL. Maintenance is not a big issue, parts are readily available and our local mechanics can easily resolve most issues. The braking is also great, it came in handy in many places lol My car still feels like new, thank you Meguiars and Turtle Wax

If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask at all

The market varies from Rs. 400,000-650,000. It all depends on condition, mileage, and the city in which the car is registered in. Islamabad registered cars tend to get more buyers as compared to Lahore or Karachi plate vehicles. Try to get an Islamabad registered car with a good, original engine. Cars with swapped engine will be a pain, they have lots of issues; from faulty transmission and ECUs to bad mileage figures and registration book problems (they don't mention the swapped engine on the book) etc... Stay away from cars with CNG kits, the engine is already destroyed. My car has almost 290,000 KMs on the odometer and its still strong, had it recently checked so need for a swap.
