    Default 7th Gen: Limp Mode

    Have anybody experienced the following:

The car runs fine for the first 10/20 mins, but after a while, the revs don't go past 2000. Flooring the pedal doesn't help, instead, flooring turn the car off? No Check Engine light comes on.

if anybody experienced it, what was the solution to it because i have been with the mechanics now and have done the following.

checking with ECU gave the throttle body sensor -> no the throttle body is clean as a whistle.
    general tuning.

the car did not give any for a day after coming back from mechanic, but after running 30 kms, it is at it again.

    any help?

it can be due to tps sensor or map sensor, get it scanned for readings from both the sensors and check which one is bad.
I have also seen the ecu's go bad which causes this. But first check the sensors and then go for the ecu checking.

This can be caused by a lot of reasons like no VTEC engagement (if VTi), could be your Throttle Position Sensor, Map or sometimes its a bad knock sensor. The simplest and hassle free way is to get it diagnosed via OBD scanner and replace the faulty part.

okay, got it checked at a honda shop. First it gave the throttle position sensor code. So replaced it, but the problem remains. So got it through the OBD scanner again, it gave a CAM sensor code, tried changing the CAM sensor three times, and on third replacement, didn't give the code, took out for a drive .. and the problem appeared again.

Now I am bemused. Will keep posted on furthur progress at the repair shop.
