Major issue in Honda Civic 2015 stalling itself with steering lock.
Has anyone ever faced an issue where the 2013-2016 Honda civic suddenly stops in the middle of the road with lights switching on and off but the ignition switch remains on and the steering wheel when turned to say a certain degree left turns back itself with alot of force, felt like some mechanical pull and the car was also saying "Check Air Bag, Airbag disabled". I was wearing a seatbelt and started thinking that mistakenly the airbag might just deploy so I was constantly in fear of the mechanical failure of this civic on the way back home.
Reason I ask this is because I just had this issue with me when I was turning onto main Karsaz road from a sidelane and almost had a major major car accident as cars are travelling fast on Karsaz and as soon as I turned onto it, the car started acting up. A guy I know in honda repairs told me this is an issue with Honda Civic Navigation package which has a tracker in it, as it stalls the car and locks the steering wheel which is extremely dangerous. I was travelling with my 2 year old daughter and will not be using this car again until I know for sure of what is going on in the darn computer of the car.
Any input from people is highly recommended as to what this might be as I will not be driving this car for now. Its hardly done 200Km but I am disappointed.
Just today near karsaz ranger protocol travelling with some higher up official passed my car and my cars stalls for couple of seconds in middle of the road, since car is running already so engine started it self, this happened to me 2nd time. once it happened near Fazaia college faisal and my car completely stalled and then i had to restart the car. My car is pkdm Wagon R and it has Tracker device. May be your case is similar don't know.
Is this normal? Or have you asked ur tracker company to fix it?
Apparently my car doesn't have a Trakker in it. It just has the Navigation in it and that is causing issues with the steering wheel turning vigorously itself. It's happening in reverse. I don't trust the car anymore. It has an electronic steering wheel and it doesn't make me feel safe anymore. I spoke to Honda and they said we've had similar issues with the navigation company so you need to talk to them as their system is installed and they quickly installed the system when the new civic was launched without proper testing and all. I do have the upgraded version of the navigation but am facing the same issue. It's happened 5 times till now over a period of 4 months since I've owned the car.
