Default Side View Camera/ Lane Watch Camera in 9th Generation Honda Civic

Side View Camera Lane Watch Camera in 9th Generation Honda Civic -1653111

    Hi guys!

I am willing to attach side view camera to my Honda Civic 9th Generation Car. I have seen it in american model. I need to know whether I can attach an extra camera with the 2nd Generation Android Navigation Player with a blinker just like activating a camera by putting car in reverse. I have seen some videos but as I am simply a user I cannot do wiring and stuff. Keeping in view it already has two cameras(1 for Parking and 1 for reverse)

    Any one can help?
    Regards

For those who are interested: We have made a group for Ninth Generation Civic owners if anyone is interested in kindly sms me on 03213331087.

I strongly suggest you to import camera from aliexpress because they have the most accurate fitting. My camera cost me 1500 rs and it's not just perfect. The one I bought you can see it in the picture. I am going to import the camera from aliexpress. I'll update the pics as soon as I'll get the order reciept :p

If you are willing to attach a camera to i-mid screen this time I am talking about connecting your I-mid screen to a reverse light(Back View Camera) all you need to do is to buy a camera from market which should cost you around(700-4500). I recommend you to buy the one which should fit in the back license plate light. After removing the dashboard and unscrewing the i-mid screen you will find a connector. It will be having some pins empty. 14, 18 and 19 are the one which we need to connect with the camera. Please consult the image. Or if you have any questions feel free to ask. 14 18 and 19
    14 for reverse signal
    19 for video
18 for ground as highlighted in the picture :p
The pins said earlier are already occupied with wires. When you'll un-do the connector you'll see that on the pins(14,18,19) there are no wires. I am just sharing the way I did it. Am not sure about 3,4,5 pins. Side View Camera Lane Watch Camera in 9th Generation Honda Civic -1660415

I have finally installed side view camera/ lane watch camera for my ninth generation Civic. I'll post a video soon. Well initially I wanted to get it attached with the navigation head. But due to some complications I couldn't get it attached with navigation unit. Well the good news is :p I got it attached with the I-MID display. Now whenever I put on my left blinker the I-MID screen flashes to the camera attached to the left side mirror. This is the only way I could get it done. So for those guys who are running on factory media player on their civics can attach reverse camera as well to I-MID screen and it's real simple. I got it done in 4500(Camera=1500 + Charges = 3000) But I am pretty sure you guys can get it in lot lesser amount because the guy was from Porsche Pakistan

Well camera turns on may be a 1 second delay. Which is actually bearable to me. Initially to me the quality of camera looks a little more better than the existing cameras so I'm pretty happy with the results(blinker + camera quality).

Is there anyway to not have the guidelines appear on the i-Mid screen? Coz they appear to ruin the view and aesthetic for me. Are the guidelines built into the camera or is it a software control?

Both actually. Camera with and without guidelines are available in market though this camera model do have guidelines in it. Right now both the guidelines are active that's why the view is not being liked. Try pressing menu button once(i-mid) while in menu press menu and source buttons together for like 7-8 seconds a new menu will appear. Go to the second option which is "CAMERA" press the source button again and you'll see using the up down right left you can actually shift the co-ordinates of the lines. I have bought a camera from aliexpress.com and it is without guidelines I'll upload pictures after installing it then it'll give better view. Now I am also thinking to remove all the lines from the menu I just told you because it'll definitely give better view. Because while changing the lane we cannot use guidelines as we are only eliminating the blind spot.
    Thanks
