Default Honda Civic 2010 Power Steering pipe leakage

Hello everyone, My power steering oil is getting leaked, I showd it to one mechanic in Lahore, he said your pipe is leaked and it will cost you 9k if I get original honda and 6k if I get kabli.

Where I can get this fixed and who is reliable mechanic for this work and what should be its cost.

Plus, I am getting weird knocking/leather sound from left side of dashboard while driving in little bit rough roads.

I need to get these issues resolved as soon as possible. Specially thi pipe

I live in Lahore, and need suggestions about getting my car inspected for any other issues and get them fixed with most efficient cost.

Yes, and issue wasn't pipe. it was power steering pump and rack. but after it, my steering is a little stiffer as compared to before. Mechanic said it will get normal in 15 to 20 days. I don't know he's right or not

It is better to replace the power steering rack with Kabli one. Last year my Honda civic exi 2006 rack leaked and I went to Bilal Gunj and there I got an original with no repair rack for just Rs 5000. Got it fitted there at same place and till that day it is working like new. Smooth and soft steering. Contact Romail Butt in Bilal Gunj 0322 4617296. He is a very reliable person and deals with power steering and suspension parts. Best of luck. Khawaja Jodat Wapda Town Lahore.

OMG...!!! He has looted you. 18K is a huge amount for an old car. I got power steering kabli high pressure pipe for only Rs 3000 from Bilal Gunj which is available at Honda workshop for Rs 9000. Kabli power steering rack costed me only Rs 5500. For Honda power steering pump contact Nadeem 03004298985. For Honda power steering rack/pipes and shock absorbers contact Romail Butt 03224617296.

I'm sorry to say this but sir, you've been conned. I got replace high pressure pipe for 2500 and Kabli power steering rack costed me only Rs 4000 for my Civic about 5 months ago. I bought it from Bilal Gunj myself. Can't remember the shop's name though. I'll look for the business card he gave me.

Actually the power steering rack has special material bushes which have great lubricity. Here in Pakistan this material is not available and so the repair workshop replace them with ordinary plastic material which makes the steering movement stiff and not so smooth. The workshop machinist claims that after couple of days usage the steering becomes free and smooth but this does not happen. The special bush material name is VESPEL. Check it out on internet and you will see what I mean.

There is one solution to make steering light and that is to replace the ordinary plastic bushes with Teflon material made bushes. Teflon material has excellent lubricity properties and it is easily available in Pakistan and not expensive as well. It has only one drawback and that the bushes made from Teflon may worn out sooner. You better consult with the Khuradia and see what he says about it. Second solution is to get it replaced with Kabli rack. For this contact Romail Butt in Bilal Gunj 03224617296. He is a very reliable and honest person. I have tested him twice and he always gave me a good thing. Rack will cost you Rs 5000 with one week guarantee.
