    Aslam0alaikum all Pw.

    I just want to share my experience of swap.

    I have civic 1996 exi.(d15z4 non vtec)

    PROBLEMS IN PREV. ENGINE:
    Blown gasket(3rd time)
    Back in engine.
    Oil leaking all over the engine.
    No pickup even fx can win when im driving on petrol.
    Decreasing oil fastly
    Oil in plugs
    Cylender prob. On cng
    Main pulley was out from inside the engine.
    In short engine was totally finished as it ran 20 years.

    Started Survey for d15b:

    Shershah engine assembly with replacement demand 30k
    Shafeeq morr: 30k
    Ghareebabad: 32k
    Daak khana(lalu khait) 28k final

    I got deal with guddu bhai at lalu khait in 28k. As a member of pw nd my friend got same assembly few days back in 28k nd his ride is flying MashAllah(civic 1995).
    I take ride of his car nd decided to buy assembly from that person.

    Mechanic:

    Not spend much time for searching good mechanic as i have link with Naazik mechanic as he is one of the best mechanic in karachi(all sports cars tunned by him like supra subaru 350z rx's with 2jz etc) located at haidry market.

    Work start.

    I went to mechanic at 11am.
    He started removing engine. Engine was removed in 25 min.
    Thn i went to buy engine with mechanic. He checked three engines nd final 1 which i bought.
    Engine 28k
    Injectors 2000
    Power steering pump 2000
    Distributor with plug wires 2000
    Nd some other things.
    Total cost 36000.

    Returned to mechanic shop he was inspecting gear box nd all other things.

    Thn again went for clutch + pressure plates.
    Got in 3000 with original leather.

    Clutch bearing nd a little bearing for plates 1500.

    Rediator service 300.
    Engine oil nd filter 2200.

    1 foundation was broken nd air wall was blocked. Both 900.
    All other jugaars removed.
    Put everything on factory setting.

    Engine was swapped at 10pm but suddenly rain was started nd there were no electricity. At 1 am car was started nd came home mechanic told me to check nd park the car final setting will be done tommorow.

    I had a run MASHALLAH swap was better thn my expectations.

    Car is so light pick up is awesome MASHALLAH. Soundless engine.

    Next day i handed over the car to mechanic nd went office. At night i took the car nd MASHALLAH car was better thn last night.

    I was thinking for coolant but mechanic told me to run it for 1 or 2 days for checking any leakage thn put the coolant.

    Today i got it checked on Shahrae faisal it was amazing MA. in 2nd 100 3rd gear 140 thn i removed foot from paddle.

    Total expense is 50k with labour.
    Labour was 5k.

    Happy with swap no prob. Till now.

    Any kind of comments are welcome as im making this thread just to help others. As i got helped from pw.

    Some vtec engines have simply honda written on valve cover but one can get it clear by seeing solenoid. Single vtec has one solenoid and two stage and three stage vtec has two solenoids.

    So the petrol average time

    I got 430km in full tank 70% with a.c

    And all driving with hard pedal.

    fuel tank is possibly 45 Ltrs, so that means approx 9.5Ltrs/km, which is not bad if you are accelerating hard.

    Yeah .. totaly hard driven.. after swap it was not 9km.. i was getting 6- 7 km/ltr.. but after 5 6 days it turned 9km automatically. Didnt even got cng wiring donr after swap😃..

    #Maverickiz3d .. can u guide me what is the cause when i have 3 to 4 persons in car .. it reacts like turtle .. i swapped engine but now suspension left but still i want suggestions that what would be the cause.. as my suspension totaly fished up.. can car can react like this due to suspension ? I googled alot but didnt got any thread or forum related to my issue.

    Tyres r also getting hot after driving.. nd shocks making noise when i press the car up nd down

    Please shed some light on it.

    at what rpm does it feel slow? Does the acceleration improves at certain rpm?

    As for bearing, is the wheel making humming noise on 50+ kmph speeds? You can check for vibration by lifting the wheel on jack, and spinning the wheel by hand; then touch the car body to feel the vibration. If there is vibration, then you should get the bearing changed. In civic 95, you have to change whole hub; not sure about EK.

    anybody knowing about b15b3 stock engine carburator tuning and working plz let me know.. m having 95 stock engine ..m fed with its fuel consumption giving hardly 8km/l on hiway... have twice tuned the carborator first it was okey giving 12 km/l but now its just drinking the fuel.. wana now about how to set the mixture screws and plz plz dont delay

    # Maverickiz3d today i went to my friends workshop as i was damn confused that what the hell is wrong with my car.

    He checked by all angels. Thn i sit nd let him drive to check further more. In the end he was damn sure that nothing is wrong with engine or clutch+pressure plates. As its running perfect as it should.

    In the end conclusion is suspension. Car's height is down from passenger side from both sides front pessenger side nd same back side. Bad springs bad bushes are the cause of this problem.

    I also checked it myself in the morning when i was driving too slowly thn sudden accelerate make tyres spin. That means engine nd plates have much power.

    The culprit is only suspension. Nd tyres jamming due to brake work as its getting hot.

    AoA Waqas bhai.. how are you ??

    i think you need to check your advance mechanism, there is a vacuum for advance distributor or something like that, if that thing is disabled you will feel your engine lazy between 2-2.5k rpm but not sure if this thing exist in 96 I also faced this prob in old engine but when my mechanic enable this it was fine

    Waslam.. m good what abt u..

    Nops everything is fine pickup speed:p.

    Problem is that car getting dead when i only have 3 or 4 passengers in car md shakes from side. When m driving alone it can fly 😃. Now suspension time. Thn life will be in peace.
