    Default 2005 civic fuel filter

AOA everyone. Hope all of you are doing fine. The fuel filter of this particular model is located near the rear left wheel and is supposed to be cylindrical in shape, if I'm not wrong. As shown in the pictures below, it had a flying....saucer like shape. It has 2 pipes on it. An inlet and an outlet I presume. I just wanted to make sure whether this is the place where the fuel filter is found. If so, then this is obviously not the correct fuel filter that should be there. And does anyone have an idea how much an oem fuel filter costs? Thanks.

What do you mean by the 'air filter sensor' and where is it located?

I couldn't buy the fuel filter last weekend but will let post details as soon as I get it. Symptoms of a bad fuel pump are like power loss, the engine shuts down while driving or the engine won't start no matter how much you crank it. Now keeping in mind that clooged fuel filter/lines may also cause this. Firstly you need to see whether 12 volts are reaching the pump or not and that the fuse is fine aswell. If yes, then check the fuel pressure using a fuel pressure gauge. It is connected to the fuel test pressure port, don't know where it is, but if the pressure's low, under 4 psi maybe I'm not sure, or zero then the fuel pump's gone.

Well, I went to get an oem fuel filter and it costed a shocking RS. 5450. I didn't expect it to be this costly, I mean it's just a plastic bottle with a filter in it and two pipes? Correct me if I'm wrong. The car is used 6 days a week so time's an issue, plus it's power steering pump was giving me problems so have been stuck with that for a while now.

Steering pump issue is common, i got the one which comes in 2000 civic and my car is smooth for the past 3 years. Total xpense was hardly 2500 with labour and all and the 2005 model one was costing around 5000.

Yes I've asked the price from bilal ganj and they quoted the same price you mentioned. I don't want to go too off topic here but one thing's been bugging me is that they say it is 'Gen1 Japani'. JDM 7 gen Civic came with an eps, no?

Well thats an intrsting question, my brother in law has a JDM 2003 civic 1700cc it has EPS light in its cluster. I havent opened the bonnet till date but will give it a thorough check whenever it comes. May be the early versions came without eps? His 2003 civic is 2005 shape.

I haven't heard about a JDM civic with hps, pre facelift and facelift. I've viewed a couple of forums about this and all of them mentioned it having an EPS.
