    Default What to do with torn seal?

    What to do with this guys??...its civic of 2012 model and this has happened to it...one can easily figure out the parts quality these days....any solution for this guys??...as i dont want to change the whole door rubber beading just after 4 years....

    Samad bond would make it ugly i guess....any kind of adhesive material might damage the rubber....insulation black tape is in my mind....

    wont work. - the only way for good repair is a new seal, this is not a quality issue, its the design of the car, the driver actually rubs on the seal when getting in and out. Eventually the seal will tear through.

    glue, tape etc will only be a state of mind - because in actual fact you will be leaking water here.

    Thanks bro.....well I will carefully check out the probability of rubbing the seal with the driver but I don't think it is the reason....the seal and the pillar are a bit away from the seat...and the only driver of this car is me myself...
