Bro if u recently purchased the car then its highly recommended to use the same oil which previous owner was using, better stick to it, if u still want to change the brand u can choose btw Kixx,ZIC ,Shell Ultra but don't change the grade and recommended grade for ur Civic would be 5W40, & if u could afford then MOBIL1

Kixx and Zic are basically sub standard Korean brands and distributors and dealers in Pakistan are misguiding people because of their commission and margins in these two poor quality brands.
Some of my friends are mechanical and petroleum engineers, and this info is being forward on what i have been told by experts. Local brands such as Total, Shell and Caltex are much better. PSO has controversy on quality. Even 3S people request not to use Kixx or Zic and instead use a local brand.
And if you want something even better go for Mobil or Meguin

And by the way Honda recommended grade for Civic is 5w-30 to be optimum. You can use even upto 10w-40 but what Honda 3S puts in company maintained cars is 5w-30 and their official distribution/packing for Pakistan is by Parco/Total

I always used Shell helix in my civic 2013 hx7 and sometimes ultra.
After reading a few reviews and searching the Internet, I did put Liquimoly 5w 40 synthoil into the system. My God, The car was heavy like anything. Rpm was loud and gear shifting was pathetic on AT civic. Fuel economy was good but I know it was hurting my car. I went to the owners manual and found 5w30 was recommended. I'm even scared to put shell ultra 5w40. So I changed the oil to shell hx7 5w30.

I need an expert opinion about putting ultra 5w40 again

your car doesn't need 40 weight oil, stick to 5W30, Shell HX7 5W30 is good oil.
