Default 9th Generation Honda Civic I-vtec manual or Toyota Altis 1.6?

    Hi fellows

I plan to purchase a new car. I already have a Honda City Aspire 1.5 , and wanted to get a toyota this time. I planned to purchase Altis 1.6 but it'll be delivered in August which is too late for me. And I think its useless to pay the premium which is almost 150K (I can get an Altis 1.8 in that price).

So either i can wait for five months, or get a 9th Gen Honda Civic I-vtec in manual transmission within one month. I know that the new Civic is coming next year. But i need a car as soon as possible.
    Plus,I don't want a Japanese car.

    Please help me decide.

    Thank you!!

    3.Lot more power.
    4. Beautiful dashboard.
    5. Independent 4 wheel suspension.

I went to a local toyota dealership, and i looked at the interior of the ALTIS 1.6
It looked really horrible considering the fact that i'll be paying 2 Million rupees for that car.

Thinking about going back to the GLI option.

My Vote is for Altis 1.6 Auto or Gli Auto
For those who are comparing Gli with City , I recently bought a brandnew City prosmatec and sold it after driving it for just 1100 kms and hardly 2 months
there is no comparison with Gli at all
Gli beats city in all aspects except for the 0 to 100 timing
even 10th gen Corolla Gli is better than City ( based on my personal experience )
9th gen Civic is nice but better wait for 10th gen Civic or get a New Corolla Gli AT later you can upgrade to new Civic after selling your Corolla at almost same price !

If I will go for GLI Manual, then i can spend a bit amount on top to get the original alloy rims, navigation system with camera, rear speakers.

That statement is correct if you compare previous generations
but if you compare both current ones sorry you are wrong !
9th gen has totally lost the so called Civic factor
i had a 9th gen civic for 1 year and the suspension was bad as compared to corolla even the road grip is poor as compared to 8th gen civic or 11th gen corolla
About interior yes you are right the layout is great and perhaps the only good thing about 9th gen civic

I dont know about the 9th gen but I have an 8th gen Pros. as well as a 1.8 altis CVT. The corolla is much more relaxing to drive and has a higher driving position; I feel I am sitting almost as high as if i was in a Vezel lol.

Funny thing is, even thought the civic is feels like much more sporty car to drivers, I think the corolla actually is quicker! I dont drive fast on the roads so cant be sure. Also check this video out:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZp7VvbdT-E

The corolla and the civic (as well as a Nissan santra) are driven on a closed circuit by Rubens Barrichello. Its in Portuguese but you can can feel how both cars behave on the limit plus laptimes.

    Hope this helps!

You should go for Altis and Corolla also getting immobilizer

Civic is better but this is not the right time to buy civic. You should wait for New Civic.
