Default Civic 7th Gen - Abnormal AC Performance

    I recently bought a 2005 Civic 7th Gen.

Problem is that, after like 3-5 mins of operation, the AC Blower air flow reduces to almost nil (though i can still hear the blower running), and i can see the white fog-like material coming out from the vents (the one which is due to extreme coldness).

I consulted one AC guy he said your AC compressor isn't turning off at all, which is causing icing in your coils, and hence reduced air flow. Though i find it hard to digest this theory. Does anyone else have any resolution?

civic has fast blower speed. get your blower checked by electrician and that white fog thing when i also used to have this car vti oriel it used to throw white fog from ac vents but at high speeds like on highway, 100km/h. to check ac tripping inspect thermostat of ac which is placed near evaporator under glove box.

Will this need the condenser coil to be removed as well ? i am not so eager to get the AC dismantled/disconnected since it has been this way since the start. (Also not up for a PKR 2000 gas refill )

well yes that is an icy fog coming out of the vent. even the vent themselves are having condensation on them.
the thermostat valve is the coil+relay switch installed inside the condenser? i am extremely reluctant to get the ac pipings disassembled.

i went to a good AC Wala today, indeed the Thermostat Sensor isnt working.

It is a RTD (Resistive Temperature Device) type sensor that trips the AC Compressor at the correct temperature. The current one was not working at all, hence compressor all the time ON.

We tried to replace it with a Kabli one from his used-parts treasure, some didnt work, and some tripped the compressor too early. So the current status is now he replaced the sensor with another one but its tripping the AC earlier than needed, which is resulting in cooling less than the standard level.

I will look for a new sensor tomorrow morning.
