    Default Check working of VTEC

AOA guyz hope you all are fine ... i have a city swapped with a D17A with manual tranny.... VTEC as faar as i know is working i can feel the push at 5500 ....but is there anyway to check that it is mechanically working besides solenoid test or attaching a bulb to it ? .......being a familiar with wiring as my car does not support electronic VSS and my tranny is cable VSS.... i have used pulse generated by the Tachometer for signaling ECU ..... and have checked the working, standing still i cannot get pass 5k but moving i can easily reach 7.5 redline.....

It's normal, the car in idle position, is limited to 5000rpm. Did you change the ecu aswell?

Then I guess it's working. Otherwise your car would go into limp mode, if I'm not wrong.
