Default Honda Civic Vti Oriel Prosmatic 7th Gen 2003 - Is Liqui Moly ATF III suitable apart from Honda ATF

    AoA Brothers,
I have a Honda Civic 7th Gen Vti Oriel Prosmatic 2003. I previously used Honda ATF in it. Last transmission oil change was done quite late so this time im replacing it after 6K, in order to flush it earlier. All the mechanics advised me to use original Honda oil but for this time im inclined towards Liqui Moly ATF III. All those having experience in automobile can guide me better.

Plz also tell me how to flush transmission oil, as it can't be done like u do with engine oils by keep the car idiling in "P" or neutral for 5min after putting 1-1/2 litre fresh oil and then changing it with new oil.

    Best regards!

Just use Honda ATF dw1 save money and your transmission from experiments
Don't bother with any other ATF
For flushing drain the old fluid from the drain bolt
tighten it back after cleaning the magnetic tip and changing the washer
Pour in new fluid (look up the service manual for quantity) and then repeat the process
You could also use the cooler line (return line) to flush out old fluid and adding fresh one from the top and stop once the fresh fluid starts to come out the cooler line
