Default Project Reborn 8th Gen Civic 2007

*Final results, few before & after starting from Post#315 onwards, cost edits at bottom of this very post#1*

Dear All, I had been looking for a good trouble free car for home use. As always, prices are insane around. Have sold & bought many Reborns. When selling, you don't get a good offer & when buying, you can't find a good car in reasonable price. Repainted cars are also overpriced.

I'd rather get a scratched faded car which hasn't been earlier repainted instead of buying an already repainted/touched car & God knows what underneath that make up to save money properly if I have to be budget conscious. If you should then save properly & if not then spend without thinking.

My mind frame was to save money as this will be a run around car for school & market duties.

I got my hands on a 2007 Oriel Prosmatec with originally 120000 on the clock (as maintainence book is there) almost in original paint with 2 rear pieces sprayed. Interior looks new, apart from detailing required & drive is exactly what a well maintained Reborn should be, a real charm. Everything in perfect working form, from lights to ac to driving experience.

THE CATCH IS: some paint is faded, scratches/raggar somewhere. In a nutshell it's almost original but dull in looks. I fell for it as price i managed to bargain was unbelievable even by standards of an accidented repaired car

Will take delivery & immediately give it for bake painting. It's kind of a project car in terms of restoring the looks back to charming.

The stupid lcd headrests spoiling and ruining the first impression of interior. And why oh why did he misplace original ones.
God i hate who made these ugly after market ones and people buying them for the sake of stupid screen. The least the can do is improve shape and quality

I don't plan to get the steering leather wrapped. Will try to find a new original one instead. Will do even without the horn cover, that is pretty fine along with H logo

I guess some people might be okay with these rims. But A) they are 16, which i have slightly in mind may not be as good as 15s for a daily domestic usage school, market and errands car which will also be driven by the driver and B) I personally feel the oem rims of a Reborn look best and specially since this is an Oriel it should look like one

The seats need to be redone in stitched artificial leather after changing original headrests. Like fabric personally, feels soft to ride but not suitable when there's a chance kids might spill something

You at a very good price.
Rest I am shocked how the previous owner treated this gem. Logo ko waqai koi tameez nahi.
Anyways you might need to fully paint the car and redo the seats.
How's the car working mechanically? Engine and suspension?

I suggest not to give remarks until the final thing is ready. Secondly its better to give suggestions and ideas with regards to addons.
Bro remove that wiser type thing from rear wind shield, Get fresh trims and trim papers.
On my department, I would suggest you to get the scratched pieces repainted BUT you should wetsad the whole car which will give out perfect paint look, Follow it up by compounding with Chemical Guys V32, Polishing and Finishing with V36 & 38. Then give it CG5050 wax.
Before paintob, Get good 16 or 17inch rims, Since it is daily car i dont thing drop or bodykit will be a good idea however you should go for a bit of drop if you could.

That's exactly what i plan to do, apart from the roof entire car will be redone. Probably going for Sikkens and Blowtherm paint booth. Interior only needs new poshish, headrests, steering and detailing

Naah Sir, can't afford 16's or 17's specially when i will be taking it to other than Motorway tours, some site visits, and my farm house instead of the 10th Gen I will be getting I.A
It already is sitting on 16's. Changing it back to oem 15's of 8th Gen

    Excellent. Keep it up.
    Your hard will pay off.
Just add some good rims and no need of body kit.
Ali Bhai these currents rims are boring and doesn't go with the overall look. Get some good light weight 16" rims.

Oh and about your question regarding engine, mechanical and suspension. Well it literally feels like a pure perfect reborn from engine sound till feel and drive. To be honest a bit impressive M.A
