Default Project Reborn 8th Gen Civic 2007

*Final results, few before & after starting from Post#315 onwards, cost edits at bottom of this very post#1*

Dear All, I had been looking for a good trouble free car for home use. As always, prices are insane around. Have sold & bought many Reborns. When selling, you don't get a good offer & when buying, you can't find a good car in reasonable price. Repainted cars are also overpriced.

I'd rather get a scratched faded car which hasn't been earlier repainted instead of buying an already repainted/touched car & God knows what underneath that make up to save money properly if I have to be budget conscious. If you should then save properly & if not then spend without thinking.

My mind frame was to save money as this will be a run around car for school & market duties.

I got my hands on a 2007 Oriel Prosmatec with originally 120000 on the clock (as maintainence book is there) almost in original paint with 2 rear pieces sprayed. Interior looks new, apart from detailing required & drive is exactly what a well maintained Reborn should be, a real charm. Everything in perfect working form, from lights to ac to driving experience.

THE CATCH IS: some paint is faded, scratches/raggar somewhere. In a nutshell it's almost original but dull in looks. I fell for it as price i managed to bargain was unbelievable even by standards of an accidented repaired car

Will take delivery & immediately give it for bake painting. It's kind of a project car in terms of restoring the looks back to charming.

Trying my best to bring it as close to being new as it was when it was born and brand new.

Good going! There should be no "dhalak" in the paint job. Tell this to ur denter to beat the panel properly and dont leave any thing to be covered or plained by poteen.

Like in this picture (Obviously without the red logo as my original one is just fine)

This is the sexiest steering I have ever seen. Get it stitched like this.

He's done the denting properly to the extent his raiti would glide over bare metal. The only puttine he's now applied is a very thin layer as a filler to plain out raggars of raiti in the texture, metal underneath can be almost seen through the puttine. Even the new trunk and footboard panel have been replaced purely to avoid puttine filling.

When you have the steering stitched please do let me know details from where you got the job done. I want to have it done too for my reborn. Thanks.

As i am buying Indicator side mirrors for the car since it's an Oriel, want to sell existing ones: they are retractable folding without indicator and can be put on Hardtop. In exchange the shopkeeper is adjusting them for 6k while he himself is selling non retractable standard ones for 8k. Just addition of retraction button panel required if you want to use them on Hardtop.
I'd rather sell them to some end user's benefit

Took one panel from the workshop to match seat poshish leatherite for giving order. Then for some reason I put all 4 door panels in the trunk since they were lying idle at the workshop. After ordering the stitching of seats brought them home. And today being a Sunday and car being at workshop which is closed, I started cleaning them. Cleaned the fabric on door panels. Plastic area generally cleaned. Properly to be done after they are fitted.
