Default Project Reborn 8th Gen Civic 2007

*Final results, few before & after starting from Post#315 onwards, cost edits at bottom of this very post#1*

Dear All, I had been looking for a good trouble free car for home use. As always, prices are insane around. Have sold & bought many Reborns. When selling, you don't get a good offer & when buying, you can't find a good car in reasonable price. Repainted cars are also overpriced.

I'd rather get a scratched faded car which hasn't been earlier repainted instead of buying an already repainted/touched car & God knows what underneath that make up to save money properly if I have to be budget conscious. If you should then save properly & if not then spend without thinking.

My mind frame was to save money as this will be a run around car for school & market duties.

I got my hands on a 2007 Oriel Prosmatec with originally 120000 on the clock (as maintainence book is there) almost in original paint with 2 rear pieces sprayed. Interior looks new, apart from detailing required & drive is exactly what a well maintained Reborn should be, a real charm. Everything in perfect working form, from lights to ac to driving experience.

THE CATCH IS: some paint is faded, scratches/raggar somewhere. In a nutshell it's almost original but dull in looks. I fell for it as price i managed to bargain was unbelievable even by standards of an accidented repaired car

Will take delivery & immediately give it for bake painting. It's kind of a project car in terms of restoring the looks back to charming.

So what did you use to clean the door panel cloth part? I've been trying to clean them but they're not always completely clean.

The entire job if you get original type new fabric or leatherite stitched on the seats and clad door panels as well will not be more than 10,000

Yes they are perfectly good, but provided the fabric is only dirty and not faded or torn obviously. Brushing is required and repeat the step thrice. Once with soft brush, next with a cloth to absorb first stage contamination and then with another clean cloth to get a further clean crisp surface.

Nope Bro, got it from Honda. All the ones in Bilal Gunj were not 100% and it was pointless. If I needed to get them scratched and base prepped again for paint matching, my car's own bumper could have been used. So I bought a new blank to get a good finish. Logos and Emblems were also priced same in BG as of new from Honda. So better to buy un used ones.

The Oriel is getting its side mirrors back. Wonder why the previous owner had saved a few thousand and put standard indicator less mirrors on an Oriel
