Default CNG FOR CIVIC...recommended or not?

    Need help.

I have a 2005 Automaic Civic (not vti, the simple one). The milage on it is terrible. I am just getting about 6.5 to 7 kilometer to a liter. I am seriously thinking about going for a CNG kit. Most of the time the car is driven by my driver. I hardly ever drive it. SO loss of power is not a big thing, but at the same time I dont want to mess the engine up if there are draw backs to installing a CNG kit. So what I need to know is :

    Is it feasable? advisable?
What knd of kit should I go for?
    What are the draw backs?

    Guys please help.

    Best Regards

    @Sajidd
Their Are Pros And Cons Of Every thign!
You R Getting Very less millage on it.
We got Same Exi Prosmetic 05 but I get 11-13 Km On It!
Cng do ruin your engine but this change is very minute.
If you Keep ur car tuned and cng is installed in a gud manner than no need to worry abt the engine..
Do Your Car Engine a favour.
If Let suppose u run it 500 Km On Cng then run it 100 Km On High Octane.
It will keep ur engine healthy!
    Enjoy CNG~

    Hello Punk

Now if my Honda starts to give 11 to 12 kilometer to a liter then I dont need to do anything with it. So tell me whats the trick to get that kind of milage? I have it "tuned/ set" few times with honda dealership but nothing seems to work.

Are there other Honda owners that have similar milage issue?

Not recommended unless u have no choice.
Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.

    Thinking practicaly

    Chaufer driven
    Giving Horrible Mileage on Petrol

This leaves no point to waste money on petrol.
    I think you should get the following setup;

Landi Renzo or Gaspetro CNG kit
    PVR or Argenchip Lambada Controller
PVR, or Zetronnic Emulator and Advancer
A good Cylinder like ETC, Inflex of Kiyushi
Use Bosch 4 tip plugs for best results on CNG

Cost will be 50K or less, not more then that. But its Karachi, so i cannot confirm. I am sure about Islamabad.

Spectra is rite! But still If you prefer that u run it on petrol, then I suppose u get teh following checked to get best mileage :

    1. Air Filter [Get it cleaned cuz clogged filters give bad mileage ]
    2. Spark Plugs [Make sure these are in perfect condition and if u wanna replace em, go for BOSCH Super 4]
    3. Plug Wires
    4. Tyre Pressure [low tyre pressures also increase the fuel consumption]
    5. Tyre Size [Use the recommended tyre size]

I am sure that after u chk/do the above, and get it retuned, u will get 11km/l Inshallah! Cheerz!

ur driver is too hard on the gas pedal...change your driver... or teach him how to drive auto cars for better mileage...
i think your problem lies here.. and you should get around 10 km pe liter if you fix this problem...

if your car is kept stationary with airconditoining runing for too long.. that is giving you 0 km per liter..do check this as well..

have you checked the possibility of the driver giving you false fuel slips... i hope you have an honest driver...

6 for a liter to cruisers ki average ke kareeb hai..

CNG setup recommended by spectra is recommended if you wish to go for it..
Do the environment a favour, Use less airconditioning .. and please walk to the shop to get a pack of cigarretes..its only a 3 min walk..

Are you sure that this is the actual milage of the car and the Petol is not going here and there
If you walk away from your car and don't look back, you have bought the wrong car.

    Hello!
any internal combustion engine can be converted.....so Civic was not different at all........!got the same internal combustion engine
As Spectra Suggested...get that setup....you will love it... and maintain weekly and monthly needs of CNG like
Air Filter Clean and oil change intervals after every 4500kms etc.....!
get 4 tip plugs and you will fell a difference.........!
and most of all...get it installed from one who is experties in installing Efi CNG Kits...bcz if someone installed it in wrong way.......its gonna be a problem....so find best of best in town and get it installed!
    Thanxxx
