Default Queries Regarding Honda Civic Reborn

    Hi guys,
Pardon if the questions have been asked before.
I am looking to buy a civic 2007-10 model budget 12-13.
    I have two questions
    1. I saw a car, black color lahore registered total genuine no touching, Oriel, manual, sunroof lcd, mileage 91000, demand is 13 lacs.
i live in isb and the car is also in isb, what should be the price of the car.

    2. i have noticed that speedometer of some reborns, it looks pale(yellowish), is that always like that or is because the car is used?
    3. the honda emblem on steering also turned yellow/offwhite rather than silver. can it be changed?
    Pictures of two steering attached.

I will be grateful if u share your views.

The meter has a slight tinge, though I never noticed it to be yellow.
The emblem in the steering gets white from usage, usually high milage cars driven by drivers.
My 8th gen 66000km driven still had the original silver emblem whereas my brothers car, driven more than 120,000 by the driver had a faded emblem.
Emblem is not an issue, just try to find a nice clean car, preferably Honda maintained. Manuals are less expensive & have low resale.

What year is the black civic? I sold my car recently, have a good idea for price. Go for atleast 2010, not older.

Yes, I think you might be able to. Lahore reg cars are cheaper, try looking for vehicles in Lahore as well, you might find a good deal.

Don't rush, take your time. You might also consider waiting for the launch of 10th gen civic. Might result in lower prices of 8th gen. Also avoid buying close to Eid; higher prices.

I have a 2007 Honda Civic 8th gen. As a personal suggestion, please don't go for the looks of the car from the exterior (important but secondary), maintenance of an older Honda Civic is usually a little pricier than Corolla. My 2007 civic (odo is 136,000) is heavily maintained with almost all new parts (mechanical) as the mechanical parts are extremely important and I don't have any faded emblem or speedometer. Check the car's shocks, belts, especially the mounts (costly), make sure it never had a CNG, check the condition of the brake pads and all. Just make sure the car is mechanically sound. If you know any good mechanic, he should be able to let you know right there and then what kind of issues are in the car. Usually Honda Civic auto have transmission issues if the transmission oil isn't changed after a period of time (very important). Hope you find a good car. Btw my Honda Civic is way way better maintained looks wise and engine/mechanical wise than my friends 2012 model. No comparison.

    Thats quite helpful.
And is there a noticeable difference in the fuel consumption of manual and pros?
or should i opt for a 2010,11 city?

Well that depends on which car do you want? If you want a civic then go for that otherwise go for a city which isn't a bad car but it's suspension is not the same as the civic and you will feel the difference in drive and road grip and all.

As for the manual vs Prosmatec, I can safely say that yes manual always is better on fuel consumption but not that big of a difference. If you have good tires (I have continental CC5), good shocks, good engine oil, changed transmission oil, all of that counts a lot towards the fuel consumption. I recently check my 8th Prosmatec is giving a better average than the 9th I have.
