Chances are: the tentative delivery date as per visible schedule is upto 2 weeks delayed to be on a safe side. So whatever date you are looking at, you will get your car about 2 weeks before that.

Default Detailing to be done or not ?

Booked after a long Thinking Process my Turbo Civic in Urban Titanium 1 week back. Expected delivery in Mid or Late December.
Just wanted to ask some Turbo guys or geeks over here, is there any advantage of detailing if done on my color since its Urban Titanium?? I drive a lot daily like 100km+ in City and Dust is part and parcel of my drive so should i??

No need to detail a brand new car. I think what you mean is glass coating?

If you can, definitely get it coated... more protection and prolong paintwork life.

Well yes he might have meant glass coating. And yes it should be done. Its worth it. But not from Honda but an outside detailing studio.

Now @aliamjadx to be honest the paint finish being provided on Honda Civic is the worst and pathetic most I have ever witnessed on a brand new car till now. Never in the past had Atlas given this kind of a rough dull and hazy finish on their cars. As a result every time I would look at my Civic X, I would curse Honda for the non reflective dull paint look. So for the first time ever a brandnew car needed detailing more than an old one.

I wish I didn't delete the pictures before detailing. But they are probably available at initial few pages of PW Owners Thread. And trust me it was dull to the extent of sadness.

Agreed. If you decide to go for coating, get it done from outside Honda.

I guess you can get it detailed but it won't be a full detail... mainly the polishing and sealant steps. Any good detailer would know to keep the abrasives light on a new car.

I know what you mean by dull finish and poor quality... here is something I noticed on my steel metallic. Not sure if visible in picture bit quite obvious hazy marks in paint.

Yes that is perfectly clear. But in my case the entire car was like this. And you are right with the polish and sealant part. Thats exactly what was done.

Urban titanium is one of the best colors for turbo imo. It looks wonderful after detailing. You should go for a glass coat.

Nice. Good detailing really makes the paintwork pop out. Especially on darker colours.

Ever considered getting a car wrapped? Although I don't see any wrapped cars in Lahore.

Detailing and coating will no doubt do wonders to the finish of paint.

If you want that extra shine and depth and also have the budget go for it.

Default Pros and Cos of GLass Coating

Yes i definitely meant glass coating and of course not from HONDA, have seen some glass coating from Honda and they were pathetic? Any disadvantage of doing a brand new car glass coating, and how much time it would elapse with this'? Since my car would be dusty and to avoid swirls no dry dusting so it would be get cleaned by water atleast after 2 to 3 days even if i try (That the main reason i tried to buy a color so it can still survive with dust on). Will that water not change the dynamics of Glass coating?

Making it polish and sealant part is Ok and is certainly needed but need to decide on glass coating?? Time it can survive?

Go for it. I doubt there are any disadvantages except money. Itll look phenomenal if you dont plan to dry dust it in the future. Experts can tell about the rest.

You should talk to Ahmad Yar bhai for this. Give him a call and he will tell you all the details of different applications.

But glass coating is worth it. Though I myself went for sealant due to budget constraints and the fact that glass coating doesn't give a full result on White as opposed to other colors

PM me if you wanna talk to Ahmad Yar I will share his contact. I think his number might be available at his Luxe Auto Spa Facebook page.
