Went to dealership for 1k checkup yesterday. Found out today that some of the body paint has been wiped off.

Dealership dropped battery water on body paint by mistake.

Today I took the car back to dealership and they said we didnt use battery water or battery water wasn't issued against your car yesterday.

The 1k check up happened right in front of me so I did see them checking and adding battery water yet the dealership pretended as if Im lying so they don't have to accept that they ruined my car.

    Battery water is distilled water
That doesn't do anything to the paint. Must be something else

It happened right next to the body where battery is. It was the dealershio which identified the damge to be caused by battery water. They didnt realize when they told the prb that the day before that was my 1k check up and as part of service, battery water was checked and topped. Showed them the warranty book with date, and they had to accept it.

I dnt how it happened or what they use for battery water. But this was their own diagnosis

Similar thing happened with me when I took my car for a shower/service at a petrol pump... they took a long long time due to queue and till then it was a bit dark so I couldnt properly see but next day there were quite a few areas on the bonnet where paint was wiped off in the form of dots, as if some liquid dropped over the car. Initially I thought these are just something that can be scratched and the paint will be beneath it, however to my horror the paint was removed from those areas.

Took the car straight to that petrol pump, the people there totally refused any part and said that it looks like some acid drops have dropped on the car and we don't deal with acid. They instead said that my car may have been parked outside and something dropped over it - maybe AC water. Told them there is no way anything else could have been on that car as it was parked in my garage! However, they were all thugs there. They knew that there is visible damage to my car due to their 'service'. They keep on saying that this is the first time someone has come up with this complaint - daily they deal with hundred of cars, we gave the car to you at that time you have seen it was in perfect condition, something must have dropped on the car after you went etc etc.

To top it all, some of the customers who were there at that time listening to our argument came to the rescue of car wash guys with their pathetic irrelevant unneeded comments that they have been giving their car for service there and there has never been any problem. Had to go back as the arguments were going nowhere and those people at the pump didn't have any shame to admit.

I know what you mean by dull finish and poor quality... here is something I noticed on my steel metallic. Not sure if visible in picture bit quite obvious hazy marks in paint.

Default Civic 1.5T loud cracking noise from engine

I have driven around 6000km on my Civic 1.5T. I did follow the 1000km recomended engine break-in. I have heard a loud cracking sound "tic tic tic" couple of times when i accelerted fully. The sound kept coming till I let go of the accelerator. It mostly came when i accelerate from low speed of up to 40 km. I asked the Honda warranty guy and he told me its because of the low quality fuel. I told him that I have used super only once and have used hioctane from Total (according to Total there hioctane is 96/97). The Honda guy still insited that in Pakistan even the hioctane is low quality and you can tell this from black deposits on the muffler end pipe and tip. Which when i check was actually black. Last time it happened I checked and there was a strem of black watery deposit on the edge of exhaust tip. It was clearly visible because of the chrome exhaust tip. He also told me few turbo owners have had the same problem. If anyone elses car makes the same noise please share it here. I am just worried what if the noise is because of some engine issue and might lead to a bigger issue later on.

Seems like battery exploded. Is the battery on this side?

    Default Android Unit issue

    Hey Folks,
So has anyone find a solution to the civic android unit being unresponsive and doing weird things. any firmware upgrades? any app to rescue?
At this point I would even go for a good after market one and replace the oem. But Something that actually works all the time. I mean my 9th gen's is far better than this for crying out loud.
I am Back to Keeellll you =D

Don't know anything definitive but it could be frontal impact with something like a bike or cart.

Look at the way the bonnet and fender are curved and the front windshield glass breakage pattern. Fire could be due to burning petrol after impact in such a case. The burnt paint extends toward the driver side of the bonnet.

Ok. But plastic is no excuse for poor quality. Especially when atlas is leaving big hazy marks like these.

Sir my entire car was dull and actually some plastic areas were better in finish than hood and trunk.

went today for the 1st 1000ks checkup of my turbo.spent 2ks for petrol and the whole day, guess what they did in the name of 1st examination of the vehicle? a little amount of dist.water added in the battery, engine level stick checked and 4 nuts, probably of suspension, were tried to be tighten but those were already up to max.LOLs. now i am thinking of the 2nd important checkup due at 5000ks.can anyone share his experience about that? moreover when the 1st oil change is due?

That's exactly what's supposed to be done at first check up. After a new car starts being used a minor general check up is required to see all is in order.

At the second check up only engine oil will be changed, again suspension checked, air filter cleaned, fluid levels check and that's it.

At 3rd check up again same procedure as second with addition of oil and air filter replacement.

The cycle continues at every 5k alternatively with some exceptions at 20k like brake service and 40k tuning.
