At this point i would even go for a good after market one and replace the oem. But something that actually works all the time. I mean my 9th gen's is far better than this for crying out loud.

So I just noticed that my car slides to the right slightly if I let the steering loose. Got the air pressure checked, found it to be 50 in all fours. Got that fixed and brought down to 30, but the slide to the right still persists. Could it be wheel alignment issue? Should I wait for the 1000 km checkup or take it to the dealership asap? Also, is 30 the right pressure for this car when I'm keeping the stock tires?

Swap sides first, if problem persists, check alignment.

    32 is the recommended pressure.

    thanks brothers arkhitekt and salik
actually i was a bit over enthusiatic about 1st visit, thats the reason for my disappointment.
as for as 1st oil change is concerned,my meter reading shows still 9000kms left behind, means oil change on 10000kms.thats strange! due to engine breakdown oil should be changed at an earlier reading.should not it?

The oil life may decrease after another 2000kms down to 6000 remaining instead of 8000 (just hypothetical reference)

For Turbo the criteria is different and oil life may vary as per type of usage. But if I were you I would change it at 30% remaining life to be safe.

I have driven around 6000km on my Civic 1.5T. I did follow the 1000km recomended engine break-in. I have heard a loud cracking sound "tic tic tic" couple of times when i accelerted fully. The sound kept coming till I let go of the accelerator. It mostly came when i accelerate from low speed of up to 40 km. I asked the Honda warranty guy and he told me its because of the low quality fuel. I told him that I have used super only once and have used hioctane from Total (according to Total there hioctane is 96/97). The Honda guy still insited that in Pakistan even the hioctane is low quality and you can tell this from black deposits on the muffler end pipe and tip. Which when i check was actually black. Last time it happened I checked and there was a strem of black watery deposit on the edge of exhaust tip. It was clearly visible because of the chrome exhaust tip. He also told me few turbo owners have had the same problem. If anyone elses car makes the same noise please share it here. I am just worried what if the noise is because of some engine issue and might lead to a bigger issue later on.
I am experiencing the same issue. Engine makes tak tak sound when u accelerate hard. Will try high octane of shell next time. It's such a headache that we have to do so much khoaari to keep our cars working perfectly.

    I believe that's just knocking.

I used Altron and heard this once or twice daily. Then I topped with shell HOBC, it's been 1 week and I haven't heard that sound.

I have a reason to believe that its actually related to fuel quality!

Yes traction control barely makes any sound. This is much louder and acceleration gets affected too. I am definitely sure. It happens even when i press the pedal down by 50%.

So guys I visited Honda Classic a few days ago for the 5000km service and I saw a white turbo over there. Upon closer inspection, I found that it has the full LCD speedometer installed which comes only in the top trims in some countries. Also the steering had some extra buttons. I couldn't talk to the owner but has anyone else installed it. What's the cost involved etc

What is effect of regular petrol usage in case of emergency usage due to non availability of RON 92 or Hi octane?

What's the status of availability of Hi octane and RON 92?

U can use 92 but get from reliable trusted or company operated pump. 2ndly drive normally not more than 40-50% accelerator as it might do knocking on higher rpm. Most of the turbo guys r hearing knocking sound due to bad HOBC or 92 RON.

The speedo is for Usd 160 on eBay. But I think the steering and entertainment unit has to be changed as well.

Turbo owners with the engine jerking issue... how can you be sure it is due to bad fuel. I think atlas has just found an easy excuse to blame.

I am no expert but the sound is not loud enough to be classified as knocking. For me it always happened between 2 and 2.25 k rpm and always at a low speeds, around 40-50 kph. It is too specific to be engine knocking. Sounds more like misfire or timing issue. Have you noticed a pattern with your turbo?

Will be going for my 1000km checkup soon and won't let them off the hook easy.

Turbo at 40k, few cars also sold at invoice by unlucky investors who were fed up of blocked money.

    Hardtop available at 35k
