No he is probably measuring something as there is no nut/bolt. Or perhaps he got conscious that some one was taking his picture. But he was there throughout the check up. This was the first turbo there for 1000 checkup.

DIY Navigation screen protector. Use an iPad or Tab protector size 9-10". First cut a stencil with marker for Disc Slot and microphone. Cut with a sharp new blade paper cutter. For microphone use a punch machine with bottom lid off so you can see the circle cut.

Normally the microphone for BT connectivity is somewhere in dashboard or mostly on the right or left side of steering wheel via a small cut out. Or in the roof light / moon roof button panel for taking crisp voice... this is first time I am listening the mic is in the head unit

No, this is not the first time. Even the 9th gen had mic built in head unit and it works just fine on my car while.

Thanks for clarification. I was telling how it's done normally.. and how it's on Civic X overseas. I am sure it works flawlessly on PKDM, but I was sharing the diffrence of placement of mic..

Mostly in Japanese its placed behind the steering wheel. Nowdays high quality microphones can pick up very clear sound from distance but the more near it is the better it will be for the person on the other side.

I am not saying the mic has flaws.... Or its wrongly placed

Only thing I am pointing is how it's done in other places.. other than PKDM Civic. ..

Well.. this is how it's done on all German cars as well as lexus and Acura.. It does make some sense otherwise it would not be there .

Even if you do proper aftermarket install , it's done at top corner edge of A pillar or exactly in dome light area

All low end Chinese head units come with mic in the head unit ! All branded head units come with external mic source which is attached at the pillar or behind steering wheel

Got mine today its a 1.8. I think all bad publicity issues (and minor but annoying issues) aside, with time this generation will become the most popular Civic generation in PK.

My favorite civics used to be 6th and 8th gen and now 10th has joined that list ... Maybe its an even numbers thing!
