Its roof is lower, as well as it has a huge hump in the middle of the rear floor. I am 5, 7 and my head touched roof on rear seats. Also when I adjust driver seat height for better viability, again my head touched roof. You don't get a nice feeling when you are inside. Even City interior looks neat and pleasing to eye when you open the door. Atlas has ruined the ambience of interior in new Civic with cheap and flimsy materials.

Well i do agree the roof is lower compared to the corolla and yes the infamous hump, it does ruin the interior but overall i sat inside and personally because of my long legs the driving position of the civic is better but the current gen corolla also has lower seats and i personally felt both are better compared to the 10th gen corolla seats and cabin space. However i think due to the way i keep my seat and sit i would have to go for the civic X being more spacious. I guess it varies person to person.

I don't own a city but my sister does and i don't know why but the plastic feel same as in the 9th gen doesn't do it for me. Again its a personal preference. I believe not taking anything away from the poor quality in certain areas but i guess after initial look one tends to move away from noticing these things later on. Most of my friends liked the 9th gen interior better than the 10th, I on the other hand like the current ones better but i guess it has alot to do with the fact that i have always been a corolla user so i am accustomed to their styling so for me this shift is not that much compared to for the 9th gen users.

I was thinking maybe the current civic issues also have to do with the fact that our expectations were very high this time around so coming down from that pedestal is shocking for most, including myself and the reason why we are so angry because we feel let down. We should keep discussing this in hopes that Atlas improves them in future units and to show that the customers are aware now and won't back down.

I don't know mine had oem mats and lock is available for driver seat I guess maybe passenger aswell but the mats have spikes at the back so they don't move and now I remember the oem mats have a strip at corner which goes underneath the side you may say footboard so mats don't move.

No offense but are you serious? I agree with the hump thing but I'm 6,1. Still there was headroom left. Though not in Altis.

the new civic is not intended for three persons on the back, its an executive car not a farmer's car ( like corolla ) where you can stuff as much people as wanted in the car. if you want to sit in the civic then sit behind the front seats, not in the middle of the rear seat, they made a hump there to tell the people like you to not to sit there.

so its not a defect or bad design. that hump is there for a reason..

thats what our registration authority says, they have been writing 5 for all the sedans being registered here. check the international reviews, honda design articles, and automotive industry standards. every sedan is a car for 4. but here we can squeeze in as much as possible in rear seat. the design is for 4, aap ab jitnay marzi ghusa lain..

I totally agree. Today I drove brother's GLI auto after driving Civic X for 10 days. Almost same quality issues. Yes Corolla is more comfortable.

Fazal Bhai it is different in our beloved country Pakistan. Employees of a Government department arranged farewell for their colleague. Bought sandwiches, patties and sweets from a bakery. 07 staff member were hospitalized for consuming these eatables. The next day they got the bakery sealed by food department of the provincial government and an FIR was registered . A day after cantonment authorities got opened maintaining that bakery fell in their limits and provincial government had no jurisdiction.
I am not defending poor quality but this is how things work here.

Nahi I was talking about the desi assembled cars Earlier I think it was introduced in local market in 2006 by Pak Suzuki in Liana ...but were only for hot air. (I could be wrong about the history part)
