Just out of curiosity I went to a few tyre shops to find cheaper tyres as spending another 35-40k currently for Yokohama Advan Db is hard for me as it doesn't feel good to let go and throw away BG for just 20k.
So at Cavalry main boulevard the tyre shop next to CSD had available a brand called Horizon for which the shopkeeper said is good and he was giving a warranty for 2 years and 40,000km. Charges were 18k in difference after adjusting BG. But upon my shakiness he offered me to change the tyres, drive the car to my satisfaction and pay if I am satisfied. Tyres were swapped and balanced and at the thorough test drive I really tried hard to convince myself that these are better than local BG but unfortunately they didn't convince me. Though the tyre rating was 93V and the feel of tyre felt soft but I have realised my WEHAM of BG not being good was wrong.
After the long and thoroughly detailed experience at the end I got my BG back on the rims. The guy was really nice and I insisted I want to pay him labour and balancing charges which he refused as he offered me himself to try them before buying but I still forcefully paid him.
Moral of the Story: keep BG Luxo they are more than okay for the price and not at all bad. It's just mental frame of thinking I wasn't feeling satisfied and they were hammering me. Better to utilize some of the value and change next year or 18 months down the lane. Availability of 215/55-16 will be more common by them and options will increase.
