Default civic 2004 - performance issues

    dear all,

my ride is civic 2004 prosmatic on petrol, with 135k on odo. i've noticed that the engine output has somewhat decreased, not upto the mark as woulb be expected out of a 120hp. i change the oil / filter / spark plugs at regular intervals. tappet recently checked, found ok. if anybody can suggest me how can i recover the car to full stock capabilities.

plus the car slighlty pulls to the left. i've threads on PW in which people say that its a civic issue by default, however my car never had it in the first place. it surfaced when i removed the wheels for a paint job and then installed them back, not maintaining the previous order.

    Thanks

if its Vti then its 130hp ..135K is not much .i myself have 3 cars 2005 and 2006 model .they have done over 150k and the other one has crossed 300K . well this engine requires some attention .. its a very good engine but always get it done from an expert .. check all of its sensors first ,coils , fuel pump , fuel filter , tappets adjustments and lastly put high octane to clean deposits out .. !!

Atlas officially used to claim 120hp in that model for 1.6 VTi

Your car is almost 12 years old
It would have lost a few horses by now
If haven't replaced the fuel filter yet then replace it and also get the fuel pump checked (fuel pressure) fuel injectors might be clogged
Use recommended spark plugs, engine oil and oem filters
Valve clearances set to factory specs

The Vti which has 1.6 vtec D16W9 engine is 130HP and Exi has 1.5L engine it is 115HP, but you have a prosmatic donot expect it to perform like a manual tranny car
