    Default CNG Problems with Civic EXI Manual

    I got my EXI Manual 2006 converted on CNG. The Kit is Landi Renzo and the Zoltrix Emulator and Advancers are used with 55 WL Inflex Cylinder.

    It is giving continuous problems like

    Low milage; 70-75 km in city and 100 km on motorway

    Poor Pick; At time to bring into lower gear to boost and to 1st gear to at speed breakers.

    Jerks and missing; while speedup it is giving jerks.

    Please advise what to do

    Dear fn1000

    I also own a Civic EXI M/T December 2005, converted to CNG. My experience has been extremely good so far. I think it depends on quality of CNG fitting or may be just the settings are out.

    Anyways, my experience is that it should give around 100 km on A/c adn 110 (or maybe slightly more) without A/c in Lahore. On motorways, I touched 157 with A/c last time. So, I guess there is something wrong with the settings. Besides, the jerks and missing should not be there at all. Yes, the pick would reduce, but it will still be a very good smooth drive, as in my case.

    Have it checked! I can recommend you to a very good person in lahore. For CNG setting, this man is excellent... my personal experience. There is a PSO petrol pump on your left when you are going from Kalma Chowk towards PU New campus, just after the barkat market signal. The guy's name is Abid and the name of the workshop is Enercon. He sits in a smallish room just next of PSO pump. There is a Shell petrol pump as well, right next to the PSO.

    I am certain your problems will be solved! Do keep me posted....

    SRHaider

    Thankyou for your advise.

    I got it rechecked from the workshop it was installed. The guy replaced the kit within the advancer and it is really smooth now. The pickup is excellent and now i just have to calculate the milage from the next cylinder fill and will keep you all posted.

    The strange thing in all the process is that in all locally avaiallbe advancers there is the same sized body with different prinitings over it. The kit within the body can be replaced easily and workshops do this hanky panky all the times.

    @ser_gtr
    thanks to the advice. I missed that

    @ fn1000
    Glad to know that your problem is sorted out. There is another reason when a drop of pick can occur. Again the quality of craftsmanship! The CNG gas inlet is drilled into the box in which air filter is placed. In case, there is a leakage at the point of entry, excess air can come in, disturbing the air/gas mixture.

    @deadalive123
    Most welcome mate. I hope your problems are sorted out. By the way, get your airfilter cleaned/replaced. This might be the reason! Do let me know if you require any assistance. My email address is srhaider@softhome.net

    Air filter is a very important component in CNG installed cars. Always use genuine air filters, as they are of better quality. Get the air filter cleaned every 10-15 days. Otherwise, the RPM would drop down very low resulting in missing and other such problems.

    Cheers!

    The Air Filter issue

    The Mechanic Changed my Genuine Paper filter with Nambda wala filter which is also avaiallbe for Honda Civic in the after market during my one of the visits in the last 10 months. Now i am using Nambda wala filter.

    No it is doing 100 km per cylinder full in the city with AC. I think it is good one. previously it was doing only 75-80.
