Default Petrol average of Civic vti prosmetic (2005)

I have purchased 2005 Civic vti prosmetic 5 days ago with mileage 8000km. I haven't still figured out its actual average on Petrol but I think it's quite bad.

I have only run it for 160km with AC and its tank is half now.
What is the average other owners are getting for this car and how can I improve its average?
I am now seriously thinking of installing CNG.

wel wel this topic is really helping me out in deciding if i should go for 2005 civic or not.....

i would appricate if both of you can tell me bit more abt drive, economy , road hadling ......

and how much u bought the 8000 km done civic for.....

my main reason to sell ma spectra wing and go for civic 2005 was mainly cos of consumption , spectra wing give me 6.5-7 km/ltr....and waise tou iam in love with ma car , the only concern is petrol, how abt exi p/t or ciy consumptions..

I have got this car for 1.07 million. I know you would say that it's costly but it is really scratchless with 8000km mileage. Anyway, this was fyi.

I had heard about the efficiency of vtec engines that they provide good mileage on petrol. That is why, I had made up my mind to run it on petrol as it would not be used for more than 1000km per month. But if I have spend Rs.10000 to for running 1000km, it would just go for CNG.

By the way, which mobil oil and oil filter do you recommend for it and after how many kms you change them?

Which CNG kit do you recommend for automatic civic? And how much does it cost these days (Lahore).

My new 1.8 civic was consuming too much petrol until recently, when I did the 1000 km free checkup at Honda. its now giving 11 KM/Litre on AC in city. The winter is here, and soon AC job will be over, I expect 14 KM/Litre average then

My old 2000 VTi automatic has bad mileage. I was spending like Rs 500 everyday on petrol and my run was not that much. So I got it converted to CNG. Now I get about 60km per 55lit cylinder (with AC) which is bad as my Corolla Gli goes apx 100km 60 lit cylinder.

It seems like these new and old 1600 cc VTi's have bad average.

my 05 vti manual does 450...on one full tank..again it depends how u drive it.i have noticed that that if you drive the promatic very lightly i.e not sudden accelrations..no heavy braking...keep tire pressure correct should give u atleast 350...which is an avg of 7..depends on the tire size too..dont go for more than 195r15..keep it well tuned..but i dont think it will ever go above the 8.5 or 9..
