Smile Civic 2000 Engine Swap and A/T conversion

    Hi all!
An ultimate noob here, my 2000 Vti has been abused a lot and after 16 years, its old engine is "kamzoor". I was wondering what will be the best option, apart from a d15, that will give me a good economy. Since its a family car, I don't require much power apart from a few fully loaded family travels where overtaking is needed.
Also, I want to convert it to an A/T.
Bilal Gunj, Lahore is the place of sourcing of parts, I think.
Any ideas? Suggestions? Ball park figures on the cost?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, i just changed my 98 EXI's complete engine to JDM D15B Non vtec Alhamdulillah its a real Pleasure to drive a perfect combo of Power + economy.
complete engine costed me 43k with complete uncut engine wiring + ECU from Rawalpindi my car was already automatic so used the old transmission over all spent 70k including complete flushing of old oils, brand new radiator + coolant, foundations, new belts, mechanic + electrician charges.

I would suggest to go for a engine assembly change if your self, generator, power pump etc are in good position, vti assembly will cost you around 40-45 and complete vti engine will be around 60k if you are thinking of transmission change add another 15k in it.

Engine swap would be an easy choice and its more cost effective then rebuilding the old engine.
