    Default Revamping my CIVIC

    aoa and eid mubarak guyz,

i own a 1997 Civic VTi, it has 80,000 km on the clock, i bought it from the showroom 9.5 years ago

i have never replaced anything except ofcourse oil, plugs, air and oil filters etc.

my ride has become noisier and less comfortable than it previously was, the Honda Drive-In guyz (where i always give it for service) say it suspension needs work

i want to restore its goodness

and so i need your help

what are the parts that must be replaced at this mileage?

what is the best place other than 3S dealerships for suspension work, cuz they dont put in kabli maal and non-genuine parts so the work becomes very expensive?

i also want a fender and bumper painted, there are some scratches on my hood too, so whats the best place for good paintwork at reasonable price? the honda guy gave me an estimate of 14000 for only one front fender and bumpers

    help wud be appreciated
    regards

I also have a 1997 Vti with 100k km. I recently replaced something called a tie-rod end. It started making some rattling noise somewhere around 30k on the odo. Never fixed it till recently. The car is now very quiet.

The mechanic told me that something called "Bushes" in the rear suspension needed replacement, which would increase the clearance of the car (and perhaps restore some comfort) The cost quoted was to be around 4000 for both. BUT, Honda didn't carry the parts. I would have to buy them from some 3rd party that the mechanic would tell me.

I asked him why the dealership didn't carry the parts. He said that Honda carried the entire assembly---not just the bushes....so getting it from the dealership would be a lot more expensive.

I still have not replaced them as I think my car still runs very well.

My conclusion was "You will see trouble whereever you spot Bush(es)!"
