    How much mileage does HONDA CIVIC, manual and auto give? I have a 2000 corolla which runs 120 or so kilometers in one fill. I have 55kg cylinder installed.

    a transmission has no regard to the type of fuel being used for running the engine.An auto tranny comprises of a computer system that detects the throttle and the rpm of the engine respectively and changes the gear accordingly.No foreign force is produced by the fuel to change the gears.The guy who advised u regarding the transmission damage is obviously a mechanic that flunked 1st grade.

    guarantee notice: if ur transmission is damaged by using the cng, please come over and kill me...

    don't trust what mechanics say, they are not qualified to scratch their own @sses!

    @CarAddict........................

    "what is the logic behind this statement that " Automatic per cng sahi nahin"."

    Coz very few technicians know the right connections of Advancers for A/T cars, so mostly they cut the signals from TPS to A/T which cause troubles.

    @insaan

    well ... actually you can get the gearbox damaged by wrong installtion of CNG kit but in the case of Civic Exi/VTI Prosmatec, City CVT, City AT nothing happens to the gear box . and as LOGAS said that Auto trannies need a Throttle input and if thats messed up then you can have trouble in shiftings, kickdowns and will expereince gear Lags, but that doesnt damage the Gearbox at all but a prolonged abuse can result in gearbox damage.

    I have to add that putting cng with efi car becomes really frustrating sometimes as the car doesnt accelerate when you want it to. And i have a theory on it:

    I think the reason is simple. CNG, EFI system and Automatic transmission all have their own ICs. And i dont think that they coordinate very well.

    When you push the throttle first the CNG system will decide weather it wants to give the gas, then the EFi system will decide on the mixture and then the A/t will decide weather it wants to shift down for better acceleration. And sometimes one of them decides that accelerating is not a good idea, which really pisses me off.

    What do you guys think?

    If CNG and EFI have any Co-ordination/ Co-operation problem, then I would have driving my car on Petrol.
    Most of EFI cars are with Factory CNG.
    Thank God we Pakistanis did not Develop those Landi etc. CNG systems
