    Default 2006 Civic Still Available???

    Hey people, I recently learnt from someone that Honda is still selling the 1.6 litre Civic?? I am not sure about this. I'd appreciate it if someone could give me info regarding this. Thank you.

    i can not give you very accurate info..but i can elborate on my last experience..which was at honda fort lahore..i was quoted a price of 12.30..which i think is 30,000 less than the factory price..they just had four 06 models..so i might suggest you check with them...sorry the car was a vti-pros-oriel..silver

    I'd suggest you not to buy that becoz although it is zero meter apparantly, cars have been standing in showrooms for more than a year now. A colleague of mine bought a 2006 1.6vti in march 07, and i was hugely disappointed with the quality of the car. the car was standing in showroom for more than 8 months and the rubbers on the doors, its noise insulation had worn out. even the headlamps had developed some cracks.

    @deel_ee

    bro thats just how the honda quality is now days (sadly). although it might have been due to the prolonged exposure to the heat but it could also be one of the many maufacturing defects..my cousin bought a 06 vti oriel-pros..guess what ? they forgot to put in the bulb for one the parking lights ! the PDI is just a joke for them..but you also might wana consider the price diff..i.e the money you acutally have considering the discount and not paying the "on" money

    @oror
    Yup. you could be rite. I am aware of the lack of quality in our locally manufactured cars. My point however was that since the cars have been standing for quite some time and they have not been in use, i believe they must have developed some more defects and problems in them.

    As for PDI.ahh well...i've had a very similar experience. When i went to collect my civic exi in march 06, one of the rear doors was not being closed properly. when i complained, i came across some most hilarious TECHNICAL REASONING i couldve imagined.

    Their replies were like:

    1- Sir car is standing on a slope so the door cant be closed properly.

    2- Sir too much gas is being filled in the car's cabin so doors are'nt working properly.

    3- Sir new doors take some time to adjust.

    When i refused to accept any of these, they said, " WE WILL REPAIR/REPLACE IT IN YOUR FIRST 1000 km checkup".

    Not worth buying unless they are giving a bare minimum of 15% discount on the original invoice price

    @All, thanks a lot. I really appreciate the advice. And yes, I dont think the 2006 would be a good choice with all the reasons you people have mentioned.
