    Default the beginning to a new start inshAllah (ahad_civic

    as most of u noe, water went into my engine during july which bent a connecting rod, and also that i turbo'd my car last week...either its just bad luck or its my stupidity... my father's "relaible" mechanic was told to fix my car wen i came bak to isb after driving a gud 1000km after the rod incident, i had a feeling that he clearly knew nothing of what he was doing, but i went with it since my father guaranteed gud work on it...now that idiot got the rod he did everything n without me noticing it he didnt tighten the crank pulley properly n niether did he close the engine properly, so the sound was still there that the connecting rod made, jus a bit less than before... this had to come sooner or later but since the already f'd up block cudnt hold the turbo's excessive power, it came to haunt me a bit earlier leaving my engine on the merge of blowing up...so now my car is turbocharged n parked in my house to come in my dreams n be driven ... khair it was sheer bad luck i hope this is a beginning to a new start... at the end i was satisfied by hpr n this was NOT hpr's fault what so ever, it was that mechanics fault he so called "fixed" my engine...props to hpr for the tuning to making such an unreliable head to even last a week...and no this was NOT the fault of the turbo it was the connecting rod, turbo is still perfect n up n running without n e problems

    Throw out the D and get a K. You won't need a turbo then. NA power all the way.

    Asher i don't think so he will be satisfied with N/A for long... sooner or later he is going to miss the "clam before the storm" AKA turbo lag

    ask some expert if your present turbo can be fitted to a k series engine if it can than sell of your engine and get a k series engine, do yourself a favor get a good ecu for the engine like farrukh (n2o) did

    Almost any turbo can be retrofitted to fit different manifolds. Its not that difficult, so the short answer is yes

    @ahad_civic

    congrats...although i have a question...

    I am not saying wat you chose for is wrong or nething, but was just thinking wouldnt it have been better that for your model you should have just bought a euro R's K20a with 220hp with similar sort of budget..(considering wat u have spend so far)..... as it would have actually produced more power but importantly much more reliable and almost a bolt on fit?....just a thought!

    then again , may be u just wanted that turbo feeling..

    @ahad
    sorry to hear about your cars engine. i think your mistake was not tellign HPR about the previous work, otherwise none of this woudl have happened.

    still, no point crying over spilled milk. i look forward to your next project. my advise woudl be to go for a B16, B18 or K20 if possible or worst case, consult HPR and see if they can fix your current block, or even just swap over another D16.

    @sameer bhai n furrukh, the problem here is the financial support, now i dont go crying to daddy that my engine blew, my reaction was simple, i parked my car and gave the cloth over it n now am waiting for the cash... otherwise i would straight go for a k20 and turbo that...ive found an easy solution, im inshAllah swapping in a whole new d17 block so i can change cams n internals etc etc later on with full guarantee from max power and hpr...

    take my advice, get the block replaced and run it like that and when that goes, put another one in.. at least have some fun with ure ride!!!
