    Pros:
-The car is quick- very quick.
-Comfortable- I haven't driven it for a long drive but I drove it from ISB to pindi and it was quite good.
    -Driving position is spot-on.
-It took me a little time to get on board with the accelerator, but it felt much better once I did.
    -It looks quite good waisay.
-Plenty of space for passengers and it has a fair sized trunk as well.
    -It's got a quiet cabin.

    Cons:
-Horrible in the value for money category.
    -Fuel economy (duh)
-It feels a bit stiff when going over bumps.
-Steering wheel is just too "modern" (or whatever honda's trying to go for...)
-I drove an automatic and some shifts felt a bit jerky, but that's normal with Prosmatecs.

I can't really think of anything else.

well bro bilal i dont agry with u in some points , i ve got the new civic 2008 and driven it 1400 km so far honestly i havent seen a down side of it yet ! on which basis r u saying that the fuel consumption is in cons category ? i think it is one of the best in its category in fuel consumption , remember it has ivtec , as far as it being stiff on the bumps , it depends which terrain u r driving on , which tyres r there etc . its not an off road so u cant judge a saloon car in this respect , as far as traction control , abs , chassis r cocerned they r equal to the task , quality comes at a price so if u r putting money in for the civic u r also gonna get the quality promised .steering wheel being 2 modern is in pros not cons , atleast they r giving a different dimension ! so if u have the budget go 4 civic its worth spending ur money on , last but not the least , there r no jerks in the shifting of the gears , please drive a civic again but this time 2008 please !

Salaams to everyone in here ,,
goodness me i am posting a topic after very long time

we bought a civic later in 2006
    drove it for 5000 kms
,, after that we had it installed with CNG kit which according to me is successful till now ,, giving us 110-115 kms with 55 kg cylinder ,, and with a miniature deterioration of speed and acceleration of about 15%

well i think that its much better than the older civic models ,
very comfortable in accordance with both aspects ,, the driver and the passenger comforts ,
much less bumpy than the older models
truely a family car, my nephews love it ,lolz,
    spacious ,,
easily can be concluded as the best car in mid range ,

but it is not for those who dont opt for insurance after making such investments,, its spare parts are very expensive ,,
ofcourse not that economical when you dont have CNG installed

apart from that we had an option of buying CL7 or CL9 ,, but again the disadvantages of genuine spares and CNG complications held us back ,, but in theworld of honda its a common perception that its interior is better than both of them ,, only the engine makes the price difference ,

    @vicky786,

After owning it for about a year, here's my feedback:

    Pros:
    - Elegant looking car, slap on huge rims and it looks really nice.

    - Interior and exterior are both excellently finished, it is comparible to any imported car. People might tell you otherwise, but I'm telling you to not listen to such rubbish.

    - The car is very quick, especially in M/T

    - Fuel efficiency within the city with AC is about 9.5km/l, which is great for an 1800CC engine.

    - The car feels big and luxurious for an economy sedan

    - Very smooth ride, the rear suspension is awesome unlike the 7th gen's jerky rear. The double wishbone is worth it (y)

    - Safety features like ABS, EBD, SRS, plus the crash rating is great

    - Road grip and the handling around the corners is very good but thats true for most Hondas.

    - Drive-by-wire, a first for Pakistani assembled cars

    - Feature set is great:
    + Alloy wheels
+ Retractable sideview mirrors with blinkers
    + Sunroof
    + Digital speedometer
    + A dozen interior lights :-P
+ Elegant and different interior illumination
    + Auto locking from factory
+ Dual tip exhaust looks great
    + Fog lights
+ Decent sound system out of the box
+ Convenience options like door pockets and storage
+ The steering wheel feels great, plus its tilt + telescope

    - The price is high, but I consider that a pro rather than a con. Keeps your car from becomming too common

    - The car doesn't suffer from torque steer, quite noticible in other cars bearing the same specifications

    Cons:

    - The pillars are too fat, can cause blind spots if you drive with the seat all the way to the back.

    - On the M/T, the drive-by-wire is very sensitive so it takes getting used to, to avoid jerky starts

    - Do not ever lose the keys lol (long story, not getting into it)

    - Pakistani version is missing the controls on the steering wheel.

    - If you install a Trakker, there will be some dashboard noises which take some effort to get out

    - On the premium fabric version, the interior gets dirty. So it needs shampoo / maintenance every month unless you have seat covers

    - The dashboard is huge so it causes reflections in the windshield, its not a big deal once you get used to it. Though once you get used to driving it, you cannot go back to driving other cars (seriously).

    - Rear seat can make creaking noises if its not bolted back down properly, so if you install a sound system, be sure to install it back properly.
