    Default Help- Turbo. 99 civic manual. Waqar_14

    this is what ive been thinking about lately. and the only reason i didnt go for the headers yet. i was thinking about a small turbo, enough for 120-150 whp. Sicne NA wont get me that much without opening up the engine (or so ive been told) i wanted to know what turbo would get me that much. im thinking along the lines of low boost- 4/5 psi and a small, cheap turbo.

    prices, specs please

    What? are you serious? 120 whp? bradreen you need to stretch your dreams....120 is nothing, even at 4 psi well tuned you are producing around 140-150 whp....


    ive got a small ihi rhb5 turbo at 4 psi, ill giv it to you for 6k....good for instant boost, spooled up on mine at 2000 rpm....should take out a good 135-145 whp on yours


    all in all a custom turbo setup will cost around 50-70k
    Reliable, Fast, Cheap....Pick two

    Bro if ur eyeing 140 150HP go for High Comp pistons cams etc u mite get those of LXN from R SPEED
    DONT go for TURBO if not upto serious power AFTER TURBO will have to open head someday so better open it before put high comp pistons and SAKOON.FUEL EFICENT aswell.
    On NA u can easily get 140 150HP

    Nitrous for drag racers and i think so ur against racing lol.

    I think so there is no harm in opening the head if done properly.They have given nut bolts so thts they can be opened and oem parts are avilable everywhere...

    @TURBO
    do try to get CASTED MANIFOLD not custom welded hav to spend some $$ but would worth.

    nitrous is by far the worst thing happened to gas and mixture...my friend just blew his piston rings by running only 50 shots, which is pretty much nothing....

    for n/a you need loads of cash, and its just NOT worth it on a D16, cams,high comp pistons, race headers, CAI, catback, fuel pump, this here alone is around a good 2 laks...and only 125-130 whp....hassan khan here in isb has the same engine as yours with ALOT of things on it, msd,lsd,cams,high comp,fuel pump, catbak,intake,headers, chipped ecu and hes only producing 131 whp tuned... where as turbo, spend a few thousands and ur at 140+ whp right there.... its reliable, its daily drivable, and fuel is alrite.... i dont beleive in n/a being reliable full time....

    ull be needing a

    -turbo (mine)=Rs.6k, not sure of bilal gunj, otherwise these biznatches dont cost any less than 25k
    -intercooler (taiwanese)=Rs.12-13k
    -turbo manifold=Rs.3k
    -charge pipes (local are best and the only option)= Rs.2-3k
    -wastegate (not sure, around 8-9k taiwanese)
    -BOV=Rs.6,000 (taiwanese)
    -injectors (since your gna run a small setup, you dont need em)
    -new uppipe=Rs.7-800
    -managemend (recommended APEXI VAFC)=Rs.18-20k

    ther u have it....
    Reliable, Fast, Cheap....Pick two
