    New Civic gives around 12 km/l with AC on (Highway)
    New Civic gives around 10.5-11 km/l with AC on (In City)
    Add around 1-1.5 km/l in the above mentioned figures when u r driving the car without AC.
    Dont know abt Mark X.

    @shani248:
    Theoretically they're correct"-ish". But practically, they'd be a bit lower. I could guess that the highway could be better, and it couldn't be worse, but in-city consumption drops like crazy- especially in a place like lahore (or FSD in your case) during the summertime. Back in ISB, my chachoo's Prosmatec got 8- 8.5km/l in-city.

    my civic (auto) does the following
    Within city 9 km/l (horrible Lhr traffic)
    But gives me 10.5~11 in Rwp/ Isb
    On highway currently its doing 14.5~15 km/l
    All the above figures are with ac.

    My altis does around 14 at 120 km/h with ac and 16 at 90-100 km/h with ac and i'm guessing the new "reborn" should do alot better no ?. In city it dpeends on your driving style. My readnigs vary from 8 (with power mode on) to 10 (driving like an uncle).

    Also, it's not theoretically, OR practically possible for a Mark X 2.5 to get such low figures. The 2.5L V6 in the Mark X is the same one used in the IS250's, which manages to give 23-24mpg, which translates to 12km/l. Now of course actual figures would be lower, but it's just to give you a little "food for thought" on what to expect with that engine.

    Yup! Factory quoted 12.6km/l for the 250G:

    @shani:
    The "Reborn" for some reason hasn't managed to make good figures. Don't know why- i bet Cylestine could elaborate on that. But you shouldn't compare the Altis with the Civic since it's a known fact that the VVT-i is easier on the fuel as compared to the i-VTEC; it's internationally known, and tested.

    Not possible for an Altis to achieve such high mileage. My 1.6 2000 civic Vti gives me around 12.5 on highway with A/C and around 10 tops in the city. This is what you can achieve the most. The 1ZZFE isn't the best motor out there for economy and it's NEVER gonna consume as low as a Vitz for the matter.

    @shani248

    I have Altis 2007 and i have this car since 1 year and 4 months. My Altis gives me 7-8 km/l with AC on in City and max 9-10 km/l on Highway.
    I also checked from Toyota Dealer(Garden Motors) and they told me that my average is giving a Normal average and Altis does this average which i m getting.
    How can ur Altis gives u 14 km/l and 16 km/l?
    I m Amazed!

    The tyres in my Car are Lemans LM702 alongwith 15 inches Rims(These tyres and Rims came stock in my Altis)
    How can Tyres create a milege Difference of 6-7 km/l?
    I have Civic 2005 EXi and it gives me 13 km/l with AC on in City and it also has 15 inches rims and same Lemans Tyres.
    So if i chnage my tyres, it will give me 19-20 km/l?

    The reason i asked this question was if you change your tyre size from the stock size you'll be getting wrong distance readings.
    My Second question was the speed at which you drive on the highway. As i've said it can cause a difference of around 3 km/l.

    @bull_ar 12.5 at 130 is pretty normal. (y)

    my 2002 vti prosmatic gives 10.1 to 10.5km/ltr in rwp wid or widout AC. 80k km done.
    anyways today i have converted my car to cng. and I m quitting this anti cng gang. our gov wants all cars to switch to cng. why cant they raise prices of cng.

    deres hardly any diff. 3rd gen emulator and 4th gen MAP sensor and lambda sensor stuff gives nice performance. i hope my car runs trouble free.
