Default Catalytic Converter in Honda Civic

Corolla Altis comes with a Catalytic converter.Does any one know if Civic also has one ?
Any idea about the availability of CNG Kits and mechanics that deals with such CNG Kits like Landi Renzo Omegas and IG Systems?

Hello any body with any idea. Also I will like to know that does the 3 Way catalytic converter in Altis (M/T) actually works or is just a showpiece. Let me explain you the reason of my comments. I have seen the diagrams of 1ZZFE engine and it clearly shows that for the proper working of 3 way catalytic converter u need two oxygen sensors . Please look at the diagram on page 11 of 13 on this site.
    http://spyderchat.com/1zzfe.pdf
Where as the Altis comes with only one sensor.(I own an ALtis Automatic) The one before the catalytic converter is present and not the one after the catalytic converter is not present though u can see the whole in the body where the sensor should be covered with a rubber lid. OK as per my R&D the first one is the important one and it controls the fuel amount and oxygen where as the 2nd one (After the Catlytic converter)only checks the emission level and lets the ECU know about the efficency of the catlytic converter and I am sure the Sucking Toyota Indus has removed this for saving the costs.
But why I reached to the conclusion that in the manual transmission its not working and is disabled is due to the fact that Toyota Rawal is converting ALtis Manual to CNG and they are not using any Lambda Sensors or the CNG kits which have the consideration of the Catalytic converter and if the catlytic converter was working properly it should show the Engine check light at once as soon as the CNG is installed. what do you guy says.

    hello!
yeah hatch...but i think it can't be in out local ones.....catalytic convertor was used to control poisionus gases emitted by engine...so its build of ceramic ( i think) and can absorb many of poisionus gases...so sensor are for efi car...Indus Toyota did'nt provide it so its a fact but catalytic works also in it....but sensors can make it work much more efficient...

    hi

only british and American cars have got a catalytic converter in em...as per their requirement specifications otherwise the cars cant come on road...it is kinda cartridge that is wasted after 50,000km and needs replacement after that...the cylincers have a chamber in it to purify the poisonous gases....

the sensor you are talking about is called a Lambda sensor...

it has nothin to do with the catalytic converter...it only adjusts Fuel and air ratio by sensing thru waste gases and inlet manifolds.
an ideally tuned car has more oxygen being produced and less carbon monoxide and also sulphur and other petroleum producrs

i was only talking abt Petrol cars

Catlytic converter is not a must for all cars in Pakistan .(No emission control standards).Alto,Cultus,Baleno and Even Corolla XLI does not have a catylitic converter.

R u sure. Its that Box like thinggy in the exaust pipe between the muffler and the engine. Somewhere near the drivers seat.It has a ceramic in it. that controls the poisinous oxides. If any body else can confirm the hunchback findings.
